Default Anyone watching Stranger Things?

We just finished the Netflix series Stranger Things last night, and although it didn't seem like my cup of tea in the beginning, I really enjoyed it! Is anyone else watching? What did you think? I just heard they're doing a season 2 next year!

Haven't watched yet, but I absolutely need to! I watched loads of clips and I know I will love it. Those kids are perfectly cast!

Kendall, is it very scary? I can stand some scariness and violence (I don't mind Game of Thrones for example), but I am a bit afraid of watching this one alone.

I CANNOT do horror movies, but this didn't bother me. There are a few "jump scares" but nothing too terrible.

Great news! I kind of thought that, but it's better to ask since horror is not exactlymy thing! Thank you.

There's also a lot of Stephen King in there with the types of characters and cultural references (but not scary, scary, like some Stephen King books). My DD and I watched it and we both loved it and can't wait for the next season!

My and my girls loved it! They really love horror movies like their dad, so I told them we'd start it together and see how we liked it. We started late in the evening and they'd beg for another episode after each ended and we ended up staying up til 4 a.m. watching 6 of the episodes None of us were ready to stop. (we watched before school started, so we hadn't gotten them back into their bed time routine yet) We finished it the next day- just couldn't wait. I love Netflix for giving us the whole season of something all at once! It wasn't scary though, just really really good. And suspenseful!

You definitely need to watch it Lyd! It's fantastic!

I think Goonies meets the X-files is the perfect description. Those kids are soooo perfectly cast, it made for an absolutely captivating show. 8 episodes just wasn't enough!

Part of me wants a season 2 and part of me thinks it's just perfect the way it is as a mini-series and doesn't want a Grey's Anatomy to happen here LOL.

We watched it a couple weeks ago and absolutely loved it. One of my favorite shows I have watched. I do not scare easily at all, but the Upside Down can be a little scary and the Demogorgon. Either way, it's so worth watching. Those kids are amazing actors. Dustin was pretty much my favorite ever.
