Default Qotd: What keeps you inspired?

What keeps you inspired to scrap or in general?

What keeps me inspired to scrap is going through my photos and reliving the moments and memories. It keeps me inspired to get my albums and scrapbook pages done.

What about you?

I've been a part of this community for more than 1/3 of my life. I'm not sure what life was like before digital scrapping. It's my one thing I do for me & it often feels like the only thing I'm kinda good at so that keeps me going. I like to be petted.

Maybe new photos that I know would match a kit, or vice versa. I always wanted to take (good) candid photos of my family. They know that I will use them for my scrapping

I think most often it's looking at my pictures but sometimes it's about a situation. And sometimes a kit inspire me too. SSD Bingo challenge prompt really helps me too and browsing the gallery too, there are so much beautiful layouts!

Speaking long term, the idea of not recording my kids' lives and having the memories in a tangible format makes me feel tense and a little anxious. If I don't scrap, I'll have to rely on my memory alone, which means I'll forget everything. Becky Higgins wrote something recently about how if she'd scrapped the memory she'd remember it forever even if she didn't have the page anymore. My mind works a little like that, too.

On a day to day basis, lots of things inspire me: getting a new batch of printed pages; having a CT kit to show off; photos or stories I'm excited about; browsing Instagram to look at other people's layouts; new supplies to scrap with; seeing my daughter looking at our albums; and knowing I'm close to finishing an album or photobook and will be able to print soon.

LeeAndra -- your comment made me giggle out loud. Lol... I like to be petted too. My love language is definitely words of affirmation.

My boys are my main reason. Plus it makes for great scrap therapy when I've hit a low.

Having a goal to work towards helps me stay focused (ie, finishing an album or project). I'm in a bit of a rut at the moment - not getting too much sleep at the moment with a baby in the house - so I'm digging DEEP to try and keep that inspiration flowing.
