PLEASE READ:

I am trying to get last minute sign ups done in time to get you access so that you can still enter your pics and weight before the 12 pm CST deadline today, Oct 25th. You must meet this deadline to be eligible for the prizes.

Of course, anyone is welcome to join and play along at anytime. However, in fairness to the other 50+ participants, your beginning weight and pics have to be in on time.

Sounds good, I'll join. I need serious motivation since the hospital rang up on Friday asking if I could come in for surgery next week due to a cancellation, I had to say no due to exams and too tight a time frame but I also know I wouldn't be allowed to have it until I lose probably 40kgs (88 pounds). I find the hardest time for me is fitting in exercise and meals with my study and work committments but I know that won't be so much of an excuse once school is over with for the year (mid november through to end of february I have off)

Only I am thinking 9 week challenge from Oct 25 to Dec 26th. Just in time to ring in the new year in those skinny jeans out on the town showing em' off.

Also, I know that stepping on the scale is scary for some and that some like to measure by how you feel, how the clothes fit, etc. But, some like to see the numbers too. So, I think we should do the scale and also judge the clothes. I will explain that later.

We will have motivational pics, we can share our recipes, goals, inspire each other, etc. It's basically like a weight loss group with one focused goal. Finding that one pair of jeans and getting into them together. Well, not literally in one pair of jeans together but, you kwim.

And I am working on details for a really good motivational PRIZE(s) for the biggest loser(s).

But this gives you some idea of what I am thinking.

How did the private forum work out last year girls? Did you like that?

Can I join you ladies? I am a size 16 now... and am 213 lbs. I have a pair of size 14 jeans that haven't fit me in ummm forever. Like my son will be 5 in a few weeks... and I now have an 18 month old, too! I have 13 pounds to lose to get back under 200 pounds... which I have not seen in faaar too long!

I am still nursing, so... I have to be sensible... but 6 weeks losing 1-2 pounds a week is TOTALLY doable!!

I would love to sign up. I had my baby boy last November and actually only "gained" about 9lbs due to having gestational diabetes and losing weight. I ended up last November at 10lbs from where I would have liked to be (around 130 lbs is my first goal).

Here we are almost a year later, and instead of losing those additional 10lbs, I've gained and additional 10lbs back due to no longer eating like I should be and I do very minimal exercise.

I've got the Wii Active.... I just bought some new videos... and I'll I'm missing is the motivation. A 9 week challenge sounds VERY doable.

Everyone will use their own method of diet and training. Everyone's bodies respond so different and what works for one may not work for another. So, we will have an area in the forum where others can offer suggestions on what they are doing to get the weight off but, there will be no specifics that anyone HAS to do.

So................do we go ahead and say at the latest make a cheesecake on Tuesday this week so it will be "all gone" before the 25th? ...and I should make my creamed chip beef on toast for lunch this week so I don't crave it later? lol

We're getting carpet installed in the next week or two...and my elliptical is buried in boxes while the boys clean out their bedrooms...hopefully it will get installed really soon so I don't have an excuse. I am finally really thinking of getting this weight brought back down!! I want to go to TX to the beach next summer...getting down to a size 16 would be really nice!!

I'm already stocked in my cappuccino that have the protein in them and my shake mixes....just need to get some of those chocolate bars with protein from the same place...maybe I will get lucky and they will go on sale this week? Hope hope.

one thing I thought of is we should all use pounds for our weightloss. I weigh myself in kilograms but am more than willing to convert so that it is fair for everyone.

Wow all this sounds FANTASTIC! I'm just psyched to get started back into getting some weight off me. I really want to get down to those jeans that are taking a whole drawer in my dresser...they are my BABY SISTER'S jeans that are too small for her...she has ALWAYS been smaller than me...I want to be smaller than her and get in those jeans!

Where do we find one of those weight loss thingies that go in your sig line?

dh said he would diet with me...he has a short term goal of losing weight before his dr appt in november...but i told him we should also go for long term so we can go to the beach next summer and "look better" (i.e. not look like 2 beached whales...but I didn't say that to him) lol
