Do you lift your own pages?
I'm finding myself going through my gallery and lifting my old pages from years ago, creating new pages from the same skeleton design. It's kind of fun for me, haha! Do you do it??

Honestly, no, I don't. I don't even use the same template twice and sometimes feel bad about it. Is it bad? I somehow don't want to have same pages even if they're in different books, from different years. Is it only me?

I don't think that's bad at all! I usually lift myself when I can't seem to find a place to start with my layout. I don't often use templates either.

I'll quite often use templates again. With a different kit and different photos you can't even tell it 's the same template most of the time.

I've lifted my pages before and reused templates ... and like Jacinda said, the pages don't resemble each other with different kits and photos. I tend to modify templates/lifts quite a bit to start with (flipping, changing the size, adding/removing, etc). There is definitely no right or wrong!

I don't lift myself either, but I do use templates over and over again. If I love a template, I don't mind using it 3 to 4 or even 5 times. I sometimes use the same template multiple times in the same book. Same goes for kits. I have kits that I use over and over again. I don't mind. I just want my pages to look nice and the way I want them to look.

I don't, unless I am doing it for a challenge. I rarely use kits/templates twice, but, there are times when I love or I need a specific kit to scrap a theme, then I'd search on my stash first.

I reuse templates also, but don't actually look at one of my layouts and lift it.

I tend to use some kits multiple times but haven't done it with templates yet. Anyone willing to share their pages using the same template twice?

I use the same template (pocket) over and over and over

The great thing about a template is you can rotate or flip it and it becomes a different layout.

I will reuse templates, sometimes I will flip it, rotate, add or subtract from it.
As for lifting myself if it is a layout composition I really like then I will turn it into a template of my own and then do all the above with that

I used to spend hours and hours on pages. I've turned some of those pages into templates and have reused them. I also use normal templates multiple times.
No one who looks at my scrapbooks (besides me) would have any idea if I reused fonts, kids, templates over and over again. They just don't have the eye for that kind of thing. I get great joy in reusing my stash as much as possible. |

Anelia, I've noticed Cassie often does the same template twice. And some of her layouts you can't even tell it's the same template, but others you can and it's because the template is such a nice basic one with easy placement for photos & papers. But I still think both pages stand out individually. <3

Lots! I just try to make sure I'm scrapping for very different years when I do, and use different kits.

I am pretty much a template wh*re honestly. I try not to use them more than twice, but if it has been ages and Im broke I will go back into my history in the store and redownload faves and reuse them. I try not to overuse a kit more though because to me that is more obvious. I have definitely flipped, rotated, shrunk, enlarged, etc as well.

For Anelia:
Okay I had to go back and look and this became just a little addicting! LOL! I had to stop myself or I'd be here all day! Here are a ton of example pages where I used the same template. Sometimes they look very similar, sometimes not b/c I rotated them or the kit is a different type etc. Many times I used this template early on in my scrapping journey when I didn't know anything about shadows or hadn't developed my style yet. The funny thing is I have spend the past year + challenging myself to scrap more without templates so I don't do this too much anymore but apparently I used to A LOT! Here's another one that I used the temp twice but once it's rotated so it's a little different: Same temp... different stages in my scrapping journey: Another rotated and in different scrap stages: Another: More: Another fave: Brook's fun "pocket-ish" temps which I love to use for lots of photos and journal cards: Ok now I'll give your eyes a rest! :P |

I must be the only one who doesn't use templates often, lol! I find them difficult to use.

WOW, thank you so much for sharing your pages, girls. Cassie, you're a queen!!! Most of the times I can't really tell it's the same template -- the different kits and some tiny tweaks work magic
I feel inspired and more confident to reuse templates now. Thanks again!

Here is one that was inspired from a paper scrapper with the hearts going in a circle form: Here is another scraplift design I liked and kept as a template... So most of these I keep the paper layers the same and then change the look of where my elements are placed...with the exception of the top one I did pretty much exactly like the 3rd one.

Here is an example: Here are two very different type of layouts (baby vs. Christmas) but using the same template: Here I did one for my son and one for my daughter: Template rotated: Glad you are feeling inspired to use some same templates again from what others have posted.
