Default Kristin Hannah

Okay, I just finished reading Firefly Lane. Seriously, one of the BEST books I have ever read, even though I was bawling by the end. Anyways, I'm wondering if anyone has read any of her other books and which ones you would recommend? TIA!!!

I just went on a Kristin Hannah spree...

I read
Home Again
Between Sisters
True Colors
Winter Garden
Summer Island
I started this one but it didn't interest me much
If you Believe
and this one was different but was ok
Once In Every Life

I loved Firefly Lane, too!! The only other one of hers I've read is Angel Falls. I really enjoyed it, too. Can't wait to read more of hers when I get my Kindle!

I really enjoy her books, too. Though to be honest, I haven't enjoyed one yet as much as Firefly Lane.

Default She's really nice

Hi Guys,
This is my first post on this site. I buy lots of kits, but mostly I lurk and scraplift layouts. Of course, seeing Kristin Hannah's name mentioned caught my attention. I love her! It's nice to see that so many people have the same taste as me. Anyway, if you haven't already done this, Kristin is on FaceBook. I "LIKE" her page, and I get updates about her new books and when she'll be on tour. She announced her new book is called "Homefront" and I can't wait to read it.

Right now, I'm reading Firefly Lane.

My favorite is definitely Magic Hour, it was the first one I read, and still my favorite. I do enjoy all the books I have read by her though.

I sobbed reading 'Winter Garden' but I loved it... the beginning was a little slow, but once you get past that, it is so worth it! I have most of her books, but my TBR pile just keeps getting bigger... I need more hours in the day to read... lol...

okay, I've got to bump this up. When the library started lending out Kindle books, I put a hold on every Kristin Hannah book that I could. I got On Mystic Lake a couple days ago and it was fabulous. I was just rivited by this book. First the setting was so gripping to me, because I grew up close to where this book is set. The storyline was so moving. I think any mother, any stay-at-home mom, will find this book stirring you. I know this is a book that I will dwell on for quite a while. And a lot of us will hear ourselves in this quote from the book--

"We're like that, we moms. We take the pictures, but we don't record our own lives very well. It's a mistake we never realize until it's too late..."

This was my first Kristin Hannah book and I can't wait to read more. Thanks for this thread for starting my interest in her writing!

I LOVED Winter Garden. I was crying at points during that one. I couldn't believe everything that the main character's mother went through. Though the hardest part was when their father died. It brought back a lot of grief of when I lost my Dad. I wasn't even sure I was going to read it when I saw that in the description, but I am so glad I did because the book was fantastic. It really stuck with me for a while afterwards. I loved all of the characters.

I also really liked True Colors and The things we do for love.

I had checked out Firefly Lane, from the library but had to take it back before I got a chance to read it. Might have to give it another chance. Will also have to add Mystic Lake to my list. I already have Night Road on my mile long list of books to read.

OK, I just downloaded Magic Hour and On Mystic Lake from the library. I'm a little skeptical as I'm not sure I like books that make me cry, so we'll see.

Here is her FB page:
https://www.facebook.com/AuthorKristinHannah?sk=info

Here is her website:
http://www.kristinhannah.com/content/index.php

she posts quite often on her FB page (not sure about twitter)

I have read almost all of them and loved them all!
Being an adoptive mom "the things we do for love" had me bawling!

and firefly lane was amazing (again cried) but I love getting that involved in a book that it makes me emotional =)

I loved Firefly Lane. A friend bought it for me to read and gave it to me along with a bookmark that she had made for me. Seriously one of the sweetest gifts I'd ever received. That feeling that someone "gets you." It was perfect & such a great read

I will likely join you gals for Kristin Hannah's book this month. I haven't read that one yet.

I'm listening to her newest one (Home Front) on audio book right now! It's good so far! I got it free when audible.com had a promotion on the Kindles special offers thing.

I bought the book last year but haven't read it yet. I usually read in the summer months more, haven't read a book all winter this year. I hear her books are very good.
