Default Tag Reading System or VReader

Which is better for an almost 4 year old? LeapFrog Tag Reading System or VTech VReader? I was thinking adding one to his birthday wish list.

Ooohh... I'll be interested in find out what others think, too. I have the pre-cursor to the leap frog tag and it's okay, but then my son is only 3. Otherwise I'm a huge... HUGE... fan of anything vetch makes.

We have the Tag Reader and DS loves it...he takes it to bed with him every night to "read" stories. I like it because it's not full of bells and whistles...it's just a regular book and the pen that goes with it and it reads the stories..it has some comprehension games and stuff too. And for the life of me I still haven't figured out how it knows what book is what..the books look just like regular books...it's like magic

I love the Tag reader. We just bought a second one for my DS who just turned 4. His older brother has had one since he was 4 and it only holds 5 books so we decided to get a second so we could have a lot more books loaded. I like it because (like Nikki) it is not fancy or gamelike, but really focuses on reading and comprehension but still fun! Plus it is small and you can read the books just as regular books!

We have a Tag Reader - actually we have three of them! My 3 year old daughter has the Tag Jr. and my 4 year old and 5 year old boys each have a tag reader. They all LOVE them!
