Default A couple more Mac questions

I know there are a number of threads here about switching to Mac; I've looked through them. But I'm left with a few more questions that I haven't seen answered...

In switching to Mac, I also had to get a new PSE, and got PSE 9. I think I successfully copied my actions/brushes/etc onto my EHD so that I can load it into PSE 9 on the Mac. But I have no idea how to do it. I've looked around for where to put the files, and just haven't been able to find it.

Also, for you Mac users who blog, do you use a blogging program? I used to use Windows Live Writer and really liked it. I've seen that there's not a Mac version unless you download something else (virtual machine or something) to make the other one work. Just wondering if you all have found anything (prefer free) that compares?

Hmm, seems like there was something else I was going to ask, but can't remember now.

I'm loving my MacBook Pro so far!

I don't know what to tell you about PSE9 because I don't use that program. As for blogging, I use blogger so I just use their interface. I'm sure others will come and help you out - Lynnette is a good one to ask.

Okay, thanks Paula. I have a blogger blog too, but I used to really like writing my post w/ LiveWriter. I've looked online and haven't really found anything that compares, so I guess I will go back to using Blogger's stuff (that is, if I ever actually blog again!).

I *think* you can use iWeb to publish to your blog...?

I'm not 100% sure of this, so you might want to research it, but I seem to remember reading something along those lines.

I haven't tried iWeb, but that's a good idea. May have to try that.

I don't use PSE9 either so I'm not sure how different it is, but in Photoshop I can just drag the brush/action file onto the Photoshop icon in the Dock and it will install. Or I can go to the action or brush palette and in the fly-out menu, there's an option to Load the actions or brushes.

As far as blogging, I don't know much about Windows Live Writer so I'm not sure exactly what you're looking to be able to do but these are the Mac blogging software options that I've heard about:
ecto
MarsEdit
blogo

I usually just use Wordpress for blogging so I've never used any of these personally but I've heard good things. None of them are free but it looks like they all offer free trials so you can try before you buy.

Try this:
http://www.texaschicksblogsandpics.c...-pse-9-on-mac/

You can blog in iWeb but it is limited in what you can do. It is also limited to that particular computer since you are using the iWeb software to blog.

I also have a wordpress blog and find it easy to use.

What Amanda said! That link really helped me out with getting my drop shadows loaded, my only problem now is I can only see them in the "view" all mode and not just in drop shadows which makes it a huge pain but at least they are there!
