Silly upgrading PSE 7 to 8 question..

Is there a way to upgrade PSE 7 to PSE 8 that is less expensive than buying the entire program or do you have to buy the program?

A friend of mine thought you could buy the upgrade which was cheaper than the whole program but looking on the adobe website, I don't find an upgrade option anywhere except for buying the program.

I did notice it is on sale.

Thanks - I didn't think so either. Just making sure. I'm not going to upgrade just yet. I would have if there was a way to do it without without buying the program and starting all over. Just hoping against hope that there would be a way to simply upgrade. It can't be that easy though, can it?

Sometimes you CAN get a lower price on the next version of the software if you already have the current version.

But when you purchase the "upgrade", you are still getting the whole new software and you have to install the whole thing.
