Default ~Books for April~

Ok girlies! We are going with 3 books for April. Feel free to read 1, 2 or all 3! Up to you! I've already read one of them so Im going to try and read the other 2 for the month. I'll post a chapter reading guide (loose guide!) midweek to base some discussions around. Can't wait!

The Help by Kathryn Stockett

Madame Tussaud by Michelle Moran

The Distant Hours by Kate Morton

I am going to read The Distant Hours and possibly The Help (all the copies at the library are checked out already). The other one is of no interest to me though.

ETA, weirdly enough, got notice that The Help is ready for pick up even though I was on a waiting list for that one.

Woot!

I'm starting with The Help...it's crazy that I haven't read it yet since it's set in Mississippi lol..I'm always hesitant about books like that though b/c it' so typcial to sterotype the South...I've heard that's not the case with it though so I'm crossing my fingers and diving in

Awesome! Hopefully this will get me reading again. I bought The Help for my Kindle a while back but still haven't read it. I'm also going to give Madame Tussaud a try!

I have read The Help so I am up for discussion on that one but I am totally goign to read The Distant Hours! Kate Morton is one of my all time faves and I have had this one on my Nook for a while and now I have the perfect excuse to start it. I might be able to do the other one too!

I have read the Help and for those of you who will be reading it, you will love it! I'm going to try and read the other two and will definitely join in on the discussions.

I've managed to get a copy of The Help in large print - it has less people waiting for it than the normal one does. The other two books have a huge wait list for them

I just got The Help and The Distant Hours on audio book for my iPod so I'm good to go. I may get Madame Tussaud as well, but will have to wait and see. I'm just dying to get into The Distant Hours though.

One of Kate Morton's Other books "The Forgotten Garden" is one of my all time favorites so I am hopeful about The Distant Hours! I really like her writing style! I hope to start this soon! Have to finish another series I am in first then giving this one a go!

It's not really my style of reading either but somehow it intrigued me. I've started it already and I'm definitely NOT disappointed.

Yeah, I'm excited. I've read the Help so will join in there and I am in the process of reading Madame Tussaud (so far I really like it, but I just got started).

Yay!! I've been stalking the library online hoping either The Help or The Distant Hours came in and TDH just did! I hopped up and ran over there to get it, so that's what I'm reading.

I'm going to dl The Distant Hours as soon as my audiobook credits come through for the month - the book isn't in paperback over here yet unfortunately. Can't wait to get started!

I was hoping to get The Distant Hours from the library, but it was out. So I snagged The Help. Looking forward to starting it as soon as I get some projects cleared off my desk!
