Hello! Questions...
It's been more than 5 years since I last scrapped a page, so I'm not sure many of you will remember me. I was on Cindy and Kristin's CTs when I was here before, so I'm thrilled to see them both still selling here. It's been fun to look around the site again. I'm thinking about starting to scrap again. I miss it and need a relaxing hobby.
So, I have a few questions. Technology has changed drastically since I last scrapped. I was scrapping on a Dell laptop using CS2, which was perfect for my needs at the time, but CS2 bogged the system down and it was slow. What are most of you using these days, as far as hardware and software go? I certainly don't need the latest and greatest versions of anything, but I want something fast. Also, I printed my layouts and would want to do that again. Where are the good places to print 8x8 pages? I can't even remember the name of the site I used before, it's been so long. Thank you for any advice! I'm excited to dive back in, hopefully soon after I can get everything back up and running. |

Welcome back! I'm using CS6, but most people are using either Photoshop CC or a version of PSE these days.
I only print at Persnickety Prints, their quality is just superb and their CS is even better.

Welcome back Rochelle, I totally remember you. I think you'd be totally fine using CS2 if you weren't interested in investing more $$ in something new.

I remember you too Rochelle! Welcome back!!! You could totally use CS2 for now if you don't want to invest in anything new. I use Photoshop Elements 15 to scrap with and LOVE elements personally, but I also have Photoshop CC. I just am not as comfy with PS so I stick with PSE to be faster haha!
For printing, I am a big fan of Persnickety Prints! The quality and turnaround time is AMAZING! |

I remember you! Welcome back! I use PSCS5 on a desktop, and print with Adoramapix. They cost a little more, but the quality is incredible.

Welcome back Rochelle, it's been so long!
I personally had CS2 for the longest time until I upgraded about a year and a half ago. It was really slow for me, and it was getting frustrating to work with. I upgraded to Photoshop CC. I will say I have the odd person that uses CS2 have problems opening my templates that were created in CC. It seems to be due mostly to text paths / boxes. Once I remove the text for them it works. It's strange Glad to see you back! |

Welcome back! I use PSE 13 right now. I recently purchased Photoshop CC because of a great Cyber Monday deal for educators. I haven't had a chance to play around with it yet though.
You can always download a trial of PSE and see if you like it.

Welcome back! I remember you. I'm using CS6, but like others have said CC is the current version. It's subscription based. I print at Persnickety when I want individual pages, and I do books at Shutterfly and Adoramapix.
