Default Silhouette Cameo 2?

I am looking into getting one of these for Christmas since the new one comes out soon, so who has one and what all can you use it for,? Printing digi pages, hybrid, etc? Any advice and info would be much appreciated.

Have you ladies taken a look at the Hybrid Chatter forum? There are lots of different Silhouette posts in there.

I have one and loooovvveee it! It doesn't print anything, but you can use the print & cut feature (print using your printer, then cut out using the silhouette). I've been using it pretty heavily for party decorations for my daughter's birthday party coming up. I've made 3D accordion snowflakes, cut out doily cupcake wrappers, made lacy favor boxes. I also used it to cut out glittered numbers for my advent calendar last year.

I haven't used mine for anything scrapbook related yet. However, I've made wedding shower games (lips and mustaches for a he said/she said game), decorations for my daughter's neon/glow in the dark birthday party and I finally decided to try to cut vinyl. I have been monogramming my daughters' water bottles, a laptop and some of the plastic tumblers for their friends.

I find it very easy to use and there are a ton of tutorials on different things you can make on You Tube (and some in the tutorial section here too!). I think the biggest thing is to just hook it up and start using it and realize that you will make a few mistakes. I've found joining some FB groups has helped with project ideas too. Hope you enjoy your machine!

I have two and love them. I started with a portrait that I won in a contest and last Christmas upgraded to a Cameo. I need to resell my portrait but have just not done so yet. I use mine all the time- gift packaging, cards, hybrid projects, paper projects, home decor- and my latest project is cutting out star wars snowflakes to hang in our front windows this winter.

I kinda want one. But I don't know if I need it. Plus, I have fifty projects going on right now and no time.

I did use mine for cutting fabric - it was Amazing! We made tshirts so we ironed on fuseable webbing first then cut and ironed on.

Awesome! I'd like to try making things like that too & maybe mini fabric bunting for the kiddos room. I'm really excited, I've been looking at things people have made with their cameo most of the day & I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and have it as my gift to myself from myself this Christmas.
