I think Adam is great too, but I don't think he's someone that everyone likes. I can't see my mom going out and buying an Adam Lambert CD, kwim?

I love Adam, but he's much better off this way. He'll be able to sing whatever he wants, without creative restrictions. So while I was for Adam all the way, I've thought about it a lot and think this is much better.
Especially because that single is HORRID.

Words cannot express how happy I was when the winner was announced. And the studio version of the single was not horrible at all! In fact, it's kinda growing on me...

Hehe I'm still waiting for it to air over here but I'm glad to know who won, I think Adam will have a contract straight out of this anyhow he's a bit different which'll work in his favour so it's cool that now they will both get a chance

I think this is going to be a case where 2nd place is a bigger star...ala Chris Daughtry. I have always been "Team Allen" because Adam just doesn't appeal to me, but I can totally see where the admiration comes from. I'm SOOO glad he doesn't have to fit the cookie cutter American Idol image.

and just how sweet was it when his wife came up on the stage in her little pretty yellow dress and he just embraced her...it's like those shows where this whole loud crowd is around you, yetyou are the only 2 people that exist. Was just a special moment to witness.

I'm really glad he won, too! I didn't really like Adam, but Adam is much better off not being the AI- he can join Velvet Revolver now like he wanted, anyway!

I think I was more glad just to see Adam NOT win...I mean...it's like the entire season the judges had just decided he'd be the winner and America said..nope.
I don't think who wins or who doesn't win really matters as far as making records and selling them...over the past 9 years we've had the winners become superstars like Carrie Underwood, Kellie Clarkson, David Cook and then we've had the runners up like Clay Aiken or...umm...can't think of any other runners up that did that well lol my mind is blank...and then you have Chris Daughtry who came in 4th who is arguably one of the biggest selling artists Idol has produced (and he's only put out one album so far!) so it all comes down to who people like to listen to...and Adam will have his fans..but I don't think he reaches across the board and appeals to everyone like some of the other people who've become big stars from the show...Will Kris? I don't know..I like him, but he just doesn't have the same charisma as some of the other former contestants who've made it big time..time will tell. And that's my deep thought for today lol

I was up pacing before the announced it.. I was SO happy Kris won. I freaked out on Kristin's IM too. LOL sorry about that KCB.
I think Adam is MUCH better off in 2nd place. MUCH. But I am thrilled for Kris and when he sang the single last night I liked it a LOT better than I did Wednesday night. And that moment with his wife? Stinkin' adorable. I love him.

It was an awesome finale!!!! They all rocked the house!!
I was a Kris fan all along. I liked Adam's voice....he was just a bit trippy for me!! I know we will buy both CDs!!!! I think Adam will do a lot better on his own!! I just want to say again that Kris is HOT!!

Let me just start by saying that I love Adam. I will more than likely by his CD...but I also love Kris. He really surprised me, and I thought he would win. I'm sure he got most of Danny's votes. I can't see them going over to Adam.
I'm happy with the results...I think that Adam will make great choices over his career, and he will have LOTS of choices to choose from!! Great season!!!

I was so torn as to whether I wanted Kris to win or not. I mean, I did...he has been my fave since about the time when they had the top 10. However, I think since Season 1, it has been realized that the winner is often at a disadvantage after the season is over by having to abide by the contract with AI. So, I kinda, sorta could see the advantage to him coming in 2nd.
But last night, when they announced him as the winner I literally jumped out of my seat with excitement!!!! I was SO HAPPY to see the judges and the media proven WRONG about the certainty that Adam would be the winner. I have never thought of Kris as the underdog...he never was. That is a big myth. Kris has had a fan base since early in the competition. They just weren't as loud and obnoxious as those of *other* contestants. But, when it came down to crunch time, Kris's fans showed up and voted in droves. I voted my tail off for Kris Tuesday night, and I haven't voted since Season 2. I knew the die-hard Adam fans were going to be all "Yay! Adam didn't win. Now he isn't tied to an AI contract. Yippy!" And, honestly, they are probably right, but man, it was so good to see Adam lose. He NEVER had the win in the bag...that was just perpetuated by the judges. Adam will be better off with a band anyway. He's not so much a solo act. So this IS probably the best situation for him. I can't disagree that Adam has talent. He does. But, honestly, I don't think he is very current at all. He is very reminiscent of old school hard rock/metal bands....like 70's & 80's bands (KISS, INXS, Guns & Roses, Queen, etc.) Nothing wrong with those guys...they made great music, but they are not "current". Been there, done that and I'm really not interested in an imitation or reincarnation. Now Kris on the other hand is very current. Totally gave a new and current sound to all the songs he covered. He's humble, talented, creative, and cute as a button....well, he's downright hot! He plays guitar and piano. Now that is truly an America Idol! So, here's to Kris Allen! He deserves it!
