Default Mac nerds using SL I need serious help!!!

I mean that in the most loveable way (mac nerds )
I need you to run me through an archive and install on damn Snow Leopard.
I get to step 3 of this tutorial and it's coming up with no such file or directory
http://intlect.com/how-to-archive-an...-snow-leopard/

Please please please! I don't want to lose everything again.
Oh and I am using online back up software (backblaze) but after 3 months or so of the initial backup I'm not completely sure it was fully completed.

HELP!

I'm not sure I can help at all... but for what I know, with snow Leopard they took away the explicit "archive and install" option because it will mix your new system files with the old with no problem... the "upgrade" option is based on that old "archive and install" option. I know there's a way to do it anyway, but have no clue... I'll see if I can find another tutorial somewhere.

Hey you! Thanks for the reply. I've called my mac tech buddy and he said that if I just re-install off the disk it will automatically archive and install.
Silly internet making me doubt my computer.

Now let's cross our fingers this fixes things!!! Eep!

I use the built in Time Machine Back up system. I hook up my external drive and let it do its thing. It will back up your whole desktop and then I pop in whatever extras with the drag and drop and it works wonderfully
