Default Have you used CS or Elements on a Netbook?

I'm going to be on an airplane for 15 hours one way next month (and 15 hours home in July) and I'd love to spend a big chunk of that time scrapping! But taking the eleventy-million pound laptop with me is not all that exciting, and the battery life is just 2 hours anyway. There's no way for me to know if I'll be getting a seat with a power outlet until just before we leave.

Is scrapping on a netbook horribly painful using CS or Elements due to the slower processor speed and smaller RAM capacity? I expect it would be slower than it is on my laptop, but is it so challenging that it's not even worth it?

It was awful.... it was like waiting on dial up. I wanted to claw my eyeballs out and gave up after a couple hours with only my papers on the layout. I learned from then on to just take my monster laptop. :/

That's what I was afraid of. Wish I could scrap on my iPad!

I scrapped on a netbook for about a year with CS2 while I was saving up for a better computer. It wasn't bad at all at the beginning and I was pretty impressed, but towards the end it would take like 4 minutes to save a layout with quite a few layers. I'd think though that if you are used to speed and have a fast computer (I wasn't really able to compare at the time) - it will probably be tough for you. But sometimes slow scrapping is better than not at all.
