PL layout question - xtra pages
Finally diving into PL this year. My question is - what do you do for extra events you did throughout the week that have a ton of photos? Let's say a Birthday Party? Do you do your spread for the week and then a spread for the special event?
Just curious. And if you can link me to examples, that would rock. TIA.

I've done it a few different ways. Sometimes I do a PL spread for the rest of the week and a second for the special event. Sometimes I do a traditional 12x12 layout for the best photos and put a few others into our weekly spread. (Usually that means being ruthless about cutting photos and it's hard at the time, but I don't miss the ones I didn't use later.) Other times I'll decide to do 3 or 4 pages for the week (with 1 or 2 being mostly but not exclusively the special event). Some people do inserts within their week (the page sizes less than 12x12), but I don't use those.

I don't do extra. I leave that for regular scraping.

I'll do an extra 2 page spread for the week (or sometimes, if it's like a vacation that has a lot of photos, I'll add on several 2 page spreads). Those extras tend to be mostly just photos -- fewer embellishments than my regular PL pages.

I'll do an insert page back and front and put in the middle of the week for big events like graduations.

I'll do a themed page for a special event. I don't really worry to much about the whole thing. If I only have one page for a week, I only have one page. If I have 3 pages, that's OK too. I just fit in the extra pages where I have room. I don't date anything so I don't stress about it.
