Downgrading back to PSE
Has anyone downgraded from PSCS back to PSE, my copy of photoshop is giving me major fits, I can't afford to upgrade to CC but have a copy of PSE 6. If you have downgraded, is there much you have missed from CS? I am not a prolific scrapper by any means and am not terribly creative to be honest so I probably only ever used about 1/4 or PSCS's tools and capabilities anyway.

I went back to PSE from PS Creative Cloud because the work flow was faster for me. The main thing I miss the ability to change the shadows with the warp tool. Otherwise 99% of what I want to do is in PSE. Of course, I never really got fully good at Photoshop so take this advice with a grain of salt.

I never fully got into CS4 so I probably won't miss much. Basically it was saying my serial number didn't work yet when it installed it did. Two screens later and I couldn't use Photoshop again. Ended up sending what I needed done to a friend to do rather than fight with PS all night

I'd have a hard time working around not having the pen tool now that I'm used to having it. I'd also really miss the puppet warp tool. Not that I use it very often, but when I do I love it.

pse 6 is a pretty old version. If you can get a hold of a PSE 9 or 10 version, I think you'd have no problem at all. Try to get a PSE version that lets you use layer masks at least.
I think at v. 10, the styles load easier and you don't have to go through as many steps to get them in the program (and have the previews show up right) |
