Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!

So, we moved on Saturday because we got a job managing some apartments. Yesterday was our first day of work, pretty much next to zero training so I have no idea what I'm doing. Then last night I found out that someone is moving in on Wednesday and the apartment isn't ready. I went to work on it this morning and it is DISGUSTING! I cannot even tell you how much cleaning other people's filth grosses me out!! This guy was a pig too. I was cleaning out the bathroom and nearly gagged when I had to clean the toliet. Then came sweeping......

there was a cockroach....

I swept it up but it's back was stuck to the floor. So I sweep it's lifeless body into my dustpan and his shell of a back had been ripped off and was stuck on the linoleum..... blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh. I had to scrub it off. I wanted to puke.
 
Oh ick!! I feel for ya girl! I took a side job when I was in high school for the guy I already worked for at our local video store cleaning rooms at one of those one night type hotels, and I tell you ICK doesn't even describe it!! I won't even go into details how gross it was, but I will never do a job like that again!!
 
Ewwwwwww! I hate cleaning in the first place, I couldn't even imagine cleaning after other people. My parents ran a hotel for several years while I was in high school (and then after I moved away, lol)...I hated that, and all I had to do was change the sheets and towels and make the beds, lol (at least I wasn't my brother, who had to take out the garbage...and sort through it for cans/bottles).
 
gross!! Our apt complexes always hired cleaning people and charged the tenants for how many hours it took them to clean (you know, after the tenants cleaned a lot)

Yeah, we can hire people too, but I didn't know it needed to be cleaned until very last minute so it was too late to get the maid service out here. But if we do the work ourselves we do earn extra money on top of our salary $10/hr for cleaning. We could use the extra moola, so we'll do the cleaning when it isn't too gross.
 
ICK! That's one thing I DON'T miss about city life -- roaches! In DC, if you walked down the street at night in the summer, they'd be skittering out of your way all over the place. Did I mention "ICK!!???"
 
Gross! Good thing you didn't puke or else you would've had to clean that up too! I barely clean up after myself let alone other people.

Sorry for the rough start, hope it gets better!
 
Gross!!!!!!! I can't imagine leaving a place like that. Every time we've moved we've cleaned so well. Im talking every nook & cranny even on top of the cupboards. Its so gross moving into a place where someone hasnt done this stuff!! When we bought our house I was grossed out that they didn't do somethings like cleaning the oven, come on people its a self clean oven and you cant turn that on?!?!? LOL I'm a clean freak.
 
Yuck! I can barely stand to clean up after myself- let alone other people.

I hope it gets better... and will you have a dishwasher now?

Um, ewww! I'm glad I didn't see that when I visited there once! :unsure:
 
Ick, ick, ick! Hopefully you'll be able to keep track to avoid having to clean the gross ones by hiring out. I'm glad they paid you extra, at least!
 
OMG that is so gross, makes me want to get up and start cleaning. Bugs SCARE me. I have never seen a roach (knock on wood) and hope I NEVER do!
