Who the heck is Isaac's Chiefs? LOL

We have room for 6 more teams. I am waiting on Laura to make a team, and then if it doesn't seem like there is more interest, I'm going to close signups and set us up to draft. :) Sooooo if you want to change the Yahoo order for draft, get to doin' it, please.

Side note to Lizzy... Yahoo has Brett ranked 235th. :thumbdown:

I'm gonna look into this draft ranking business. Just for kicks, lol.
 
I want to rank the players, but I don't want to do it until I know what draft number I am. Also how is the draft set up? If there are 12 teams, will the person that is first pick then be 13th pick (1st pick in every round) or will they be 24th pick (alternating 1st pick and last pick in each round)?

Draft order is random. Yahoo sets it 30 mins before the draft actually starts. It's snaking, so if you have the first pick in the first round, you have the last pick in the second round, first pick in the third round, and so on.

Here's Yahoo's explanation for how they determine who you get.

The autopick draft is a popular option for beginners as well as experienced fantasy managers who are unable to arrive at a draft time that suits all league managers.

When using the autopick system, our computer makes intelligent choices for you. This happens if you signed up for an autopick draft or are not present for all or part of your live draft.

The autopick system looks at both a player's position and ranking before making a selection. The computer looks to see which starting positions you need to fill, then selects the highestated player based on either our default ranking or your preankings to fill one of those positions.
 
life just got even more busy -- so I think I'll sit this round out. Thanks, Sara for organizing the league, tho!

Yay,more teams! I read that we need an even number of teams for us to get first day or first round choices (if my memory serves me right).
 
yeah, we have to have an even number. Once Laura signs up, there's 4 spots left and then we will have a full league. Anyone else want in?????
 
I'm Lady Luck- that's my team name in the other league and it's been lucky, so we'll see how it goes here! :)
 
Ok...I confess...Isaac's Chiefs is me...

I hate coming up with names and am not good at it at all.

My son's name is Isaac and our fav team is the Chiefs. So there you have it.

In the past, my team name was The Nutcrackers...because I always played against all guys. I didn't think that would quite work this time. Sorry for an unoriginal team name... :)
 
I threw some players I like into my own draft rankings kinda thing. NO idea how to do it the"right" way, but whatever :p

I want Eli, lol. 99th? That's a bit ridiculous, lol.
