Not that it's luck, persay, but you know how usually things break RIGHT after they are out of warranty? Well, we bought my car used, and we picked up an extended warranty on it when we bought it. It expires at 74,300 miles. Today I am at 74,250 miles. The brake light comes on this morning. I take it to Ford. My brake cable is frayed, I have an oil gasket leak and some sort of stabilizer leak. All covered. :thumbup: So I just have to pay my $100 deductible and they pay for the rental car. :thumbup:

At least I know what my day 13 picture is going to be... rental car!! :D
 
lmao!! whoa!! you got lucky! i have no idea when the warranty on my escape ends. we bought it new. its an '07. and it has 23,000 some miles on it. i think i'm good for awhile. hopefully.
 
crap.

i keep getting these letters in the mail saying "your factory warranty is almost up! buy more coverage!" but they don't always come from Ford. and i'm afraid of what it costs, lol.

As least you're getting letters. I get at least 3 calls a night. Everytime I hold for an operator to complain, I get disconnected.
 
Wow, what timing! We get those calls and letters for extended warranties, too. Every one says "this is your last chance..." but the calls and letters keep coming.
 
Wow...now that's lucky!! DH's warranty on his mp3 player ran out last month and yesterday it konked out on him for no reason. Now he's going to get an iTouch :)
 
Oh. My. Gosh. You guys. Guess what I am driving?? A 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan. I :wub: it and I want to keep it. Jeff says it's a good thing I'm not going to be driving it long. :wub:
 
YAY! Well, thank God the brake light came on right? Hopefully these are the only repairs you ever have to make.
