Proper Etiquette? Re:Gallery Comments

I am curious to know what is proper etiquette when someone leaves you a Gallery Comment? I feel so guilty not replying with a "Thank you" message when someone is so kind as to take the time to give me some form of praise, encouragement, etc. on one of my layouts....I don't want to overload anyones Inbox with PM's but really would love to know what proper etiquette is....

I think the best option would be to go to their gallery and leave some praise for their layouts. I can't possibly say thanks to everyone that leaves me a comment, but I can leave comments for them.
 
If you have the time, take a look at THEIR gallery and leave a nice comment on one of their pages! :) No need to say TY's for gallery comments.... just return praise if you can!
 
I always try to reciprocate on one of their LO's but I also think it's appropriate to "pay it forward" and comment on another (unloved) LO in the gallery!!!
 
*making list of reciprocal commenters* ... just kidding ... I do try to return praise, sometimes it takes me a couple of days. I know what you mean about feeling the urge to thank people, I feel the same way.

I try to do this too. It might be immediately and it might be a week or two later but I do get around to it eventually. Going to leave some love now!
 
I comment on a layout because it caught my eye not to get a comment on my layout. I totally understand why people do it and I appreciate the comments but I want you to comment on my layout because you like it not because you feel you have to because I commented on yours. Does this make sense at all? I hope I don't sound like a bee-yotch because that is not my purpose in replying at all.
 
I try to return the favor with praise in their gallery...but lately I am so busy I try to just go through the praise game and leave love there or random love in the gallery. If someone always comments on my LO's, I do send them a PM sometimes and let them know it's really appreciated.
 
I am not a prolific scrapper(as my gallery shows!) and I need plenty of inspiration, so I browse the gallery often and comment when I see something that I like. I also will browse the gallery when I am on the fence about a kit--seeing LOs made with the kits that I am interested in usually pushes me over the edge to buy on Saturday afternoons--LOL, never the other way, so maybe I am my own worst enemy!
