Seriously? Smoking Candy

wow that is just odd...Im not sure what to even say. Seems like the kids think smoking is cool so they want to imitate it??

WTF? Why would someone do that? I get why my inlaws smoked (they have since quit and been smokefree for 5 years) but I'm 30 and remember clearly hearing about how bad it was for you, etc. So I don't understand smoking in kids- let alone crushing candy to pretend like you're smoking. ???

Nothing that goes up your nose is a good idea!

That's bizarre! Although, I do know some people that snorted pixie sticks as kids. Some people just aren't very bright.

oh my word. wowsers. those kids are a bunch of friggin morons and so are their parents for not knowing what their kids are up to.

Wow.. Thats just stupid. With that said, around 8th-ish grade, tons of kids in my grade were all into snorting pixie sticks, I never understood how that would be anything but painful, but kids did it, alot!

I used to snort pixie sticks and koolaid too (uh, the powder, unsweetened... just cuz)... and I vaguely recall my brother smoking crabgrass and tree bark from the backyard too. Kids are weird.

That is weird...on a side note, anybody remember the cigarette candies when they were little? How awful is that...candy shaped like a cigarette?! :(

you can still get them up here ... they call them candy sticks now. It's crazy. You used to also be able to get bubble gum cigarettes, there were powdered on the outside and the inside, and you could "blow out" powered sugar from the inside.

Yeah. I remember those. And you could blow a little bit and make 'smoke' come out the end?

Holy cow, I can't believe they are still around...even if they changed the name. My mom smoked (she just got diagnosed with emphysema a few weeks ago) the most we did as kids was use crayons and pretend we were smoking...I would freak if my girls did that now.

It was 8th grade when we were doing it, too. Must be a thing for that age.

I remember those, I loved them both. I never smoked even to try it, once in my life though.
