Almost 4 months postpartum...

Okay, my baby will be 4months next week. i've regained my pre-pregnancy weight (and then some) which is great....

BUT... i still have the belly!! my tummy area is still so loose and jiggly! :glare:
it doesn't help that i sit in the computer most of the time designing, checking forums etc... so what did you do to tone the area? that is effective and only about 30 mins per day? i've heard about hiphop abs, anyone tried those videos?

Congrats Allie on the prepreg weight!

I've accepted the fact that I'll never see my pre-preg again lol..embracing my new body is a diff story though blah

Can't wait to hear some advice on the jiggle

Yeah, I don't think my stomach will ever go back. My husband thinks if I do a bunch of sit-ups that it will get better, but that would help the muscles underneath... not the extremely stretched out skin. lol

Try googling "Planking". It is supposed to help a lot with reducing belly fat... which I have A LOT of. 2 kids and haven't worked hard to get it off... :(

Are you breastfeeding? If you're breastfeeding, you should start seeing a difference after 6 months.

I'm 11 months postpartum today and I still haven't lost the baby jiggle. Sigh. I'm hoping it'll go away after I stop breastfeeding, lol.

Ummm yea before I had my daughter I wore a size 0 to a size 3. I am now a size 10-12. (and my kids are well past 4 months LOL) After my last son I did lose alot of it and got my stomach almost completely flat but there was still that little pouch thing from having a c-section. I gained alot of it back because I do not exercise anymore and stopped watching what I eat so carefully. Im trying to get back down though

Well I've had 3 kids and LOTS of stretch marks and loose skin. It's taken 10 months at the gym and a lot of hard work for the skin to finally be toning up and not hanging. The main thing I do is a heap of crunch, swiss/fit ball exercises, planks, etc. You also need to work on your back muscles and not just tummy muscles as they work together. I also rub in vitamin E cream everyday. I seriously thought I would need surgery to remove it but can happily say that in maybe 6 more months it will be looking fine.

Mine is almost 6 mos old now...I've actually lost down to 10 lbs LESS than my pre-preggo weight and I still have the belly :( . I didn't have this problem with DS so much b/c he was 5 weeks early and I guess I never just got to that enormous stretched out stage with him...so I lost the belly fairly quickly after he was born..Miss Ella did a number on my stomach though...the stretch marks have faded a lot, but loose skin is still there and I'm not sure how it'll ever go away. FYI...Spanx Body Shapers are my best friend right now lol :)

yup.. i'm still breastfeeding (might be why i lost the weight quickly)

Kirstie, does rubbing vit. E on the loose skin help remove the stretchies? i just don't have the time (and energy) to hit the gym anymore.

i'll be giving Hiphop Abs videos a try :) if nothing else, i might learn a few dance moves hehe

this is what i keep telling my DH, lol. he thinks if i work at it, it'll go away. the stretched skin may never be completely gone; who knows? i wish it would! i keep telling him i probably will never have the same flat belly i had before i had kids. i'm at my pre pregnancy weight but i think my hips are a bit wider. i do need to work out; its not just my belly that needs work. i'm just lazy, lol.

Kirstie, that is AMAZING that you are working hard like that! i have 3 kids too and you are inspiring me to get back to the gym.

i can't offer any advice really, i'm starting to think it's never going away - my stomach skin is so stretched and stertchmarked that it's depressing since DS -let us know how u go with the HipHop Abs

All I have to say is Sigh! I'm 2.5 years post partum...still there! I think that some genes allow for it to go away and others (like mine) don't. But I do have super toned arms right now!
