Default Anyone done any sort of letters for the walls?

I am thinking about getting my son his name somehow on the wall. I was thinking wooden letters but then I thought you ladies make so much awesome stuff in here that I wanted to ask if something like this had been done? If so, what did you do and how did it look? Do you have any pictures?

I did some for my niece but totally forgot to take pics. I just used mod podge with paper to cover the letters and then used flowers to embellish them. I used ribbon to hang them.

I saw this idea on Pinterest () the other day - it only shows an initial not a full name but it is still super cute! I love the idea of printing off scrapbook paper from a kit (on canvas maybe?) and doing something similar.

Holly Ann, did you use wooden letters and put paper on them using the mod podge? I might have to look into that.

Cute button canvas! If it wasn't for wanting his full name I might have had to do something like that. Really like it! I'm thinking 4 canvases with button letters on it would be too much? My son's name is Birk.

Thats what I thought about the canvas.

I've also done a name using Decopatch paper and letters. The paper is really thin but keeps all of its colour when glued (and the glue gives it a glossy kind of finish). I didn't take pictures of it though...

Here's the website in case it's useful

Yea I used the wooden letters, I think they were like $1 a piece at pat catans. I sanded the letters just a bit, put a light layer of mod podge on and then covered with the paper.
