Plan Ahead - Christmas

No, it's not too early to start thinking about this. We're talking mid-July - Hobby Lobby and other craft stores are beginning to put up product. Target is readjusting it's back end, moving things around, so it can have Christmas put up overnight in the next few weeks. It's coming, folks!

Please add your ideas and links for projects that you think will make this Christmas extra special!

I am with you! I've been buying gifts here and there since JANUARY lol! I usually order my gift wrap after school starts. I'm not very crafty but I will be making a few things. Also gonna take a stab at our cards this year. I took a look on Pintrest this morning too. Here's what I have planned:

I bought my first present this week! Yay! I love these threads to help me figure things out. I want to make an advent fun calendar thing this year since my son finally gets the magic of Christmas now.

I've already bought patterns and fabric so I can start sewing projects for sleep pants/pajamas, lounge "jacket", car blanket and some aprons. I'm taking some time off in September so I can get busy starting them.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I'm all for planning but it's JULY. That's WAY too early in my book. :p

me too although this week I found some neat little stationery gifty type items on clearance for $1 & $2 but those can be for birthdays or christmas but at least I have something!

I am always thinking of Christmas stuff - it's my favourite time of the year and I love to do all sorts of Christmas crafts. It can't be just us who are starting to plan as our customers at the ribbon shop me and my Mum run are getting into Christmas in a big way - the postman delivered 2000 jingle bells for us to add to our shop this week :D You should have heard the noise when he dropped the package through our door

I love the look of that felt wreath, I would love one of those

ooh that felt wreath looks awesome! How do you make that?

I'm not ready for christmas. I don't even think about it until after school is in session..which is only 2 weeks away, lol

the rolled flowers are made by rolling up strips of felt, the fluffy ones are made the same way, but with cut felt strips. i have a tutorial link somewhere. give me a sec and i can link you.

I'm not sure what we are doing this year ... but I'm real excited about one thing ... dh is going to build his own CNC machine ... so pretty much anything I want him to make (for me to scrap on or craft with) ... will be doable!!

SO EXCITED!!

I went to Hobby Lobby Saturday and they had aisles upon aisles of Christmas ornaments, craft supplies, lights..already!! In JULY!! They also had some Thanksgiving and Halloween up too. I am so making those cute yard Christmas trees. They had the forms out already :). Oh, and I'm making these in a few weeks too. Instead of initials I'm spelling "peace" because we have that many stockings ;).

I usually get started in July on projects. But since we are moving 900 miles in 2 weeks, I just can't think about it yet!!! I LOVE the ideas though. Keep sharing!

Easy-peasy simple Christmas card using the little snowflake doodle in Darcy's latest font and a plain font for the sentiment. I printed directly onto the kraft cardstock - 2 on a sheet, folded, cut and then coloured with a white pen and tied some bakers twine in a bow.
