Default Wrist Tattoos

Who has one? What do you have? Show us?

I would really like one, but I question the placement. I can have one there in the military, but will a future job allow that after I retire. I don't wear a watch, so I couldn't cover it that way. I don't know. Tell me about yours or why you would never put one there (unless its just cause you don't have tattoos cause I do. )

What's the word in between never and infinite?

Have you talked to your artist yet? It might be hard to get that many words into a tattoo the size of a wrist, but I love the quote in an infinity sign.

the job issue stops me, but I'd love one there. I'd like it to look like a charm bracelet with charms that represent people and events in my life. However, I haven't found one that I like that is similar to what I said.

I'm getting one on the inside of mine eventually...

it's latin for
"she flies with her own wings"
thought about trying to add a couple birds like these to it too

Laura's says
We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.
it's an MLK quote

Oh, that's an s! I kept reading it as a v and was so confused.

I love that, Meg. I have those birds along my collar bone.

ty

I don't like the placement of hers though..I don't know with words on the wrist do you get it so you can put your wrist down and others see it or so you can see it yourself and just twist your arm for somebody else to see it? lol one reason I haven't gotten it yet I can't decide

My thinking would be that you'll be looking at it WAY more than anyone else and having it be upside down all the time would annoy me. Like you said, you can always twist your arm to show other people.

I agree with Lynnette. Its for your motivation, your reading. Make it so you can read it.

I was thinking that too but one of my friends said the other way so I started questioning it myself

I have one on each upper forearm, not wrist. They face outward. I wanted to do a wrist one but am not sold on it. I'll be getting my bicep done first.

My sister just got one and I scrapped about it:
I realized it's not very clear, but it's the word "blessed" and an angel wing in white ink. She decided to get it upside down because most of the time people would be asking her about it. She also wears lots of watches and cuffs so she can hide it, but um, this is a girl with multiple piercings and a tongue ring, so it's not like she's hiding it (except maybe from my dad!)

John has tattoos inside each wrist. He has "ZEH" inside one and an "I" inside the other. The first is Zach's initials, (he hasn't been able to think of a way to add in the other three kids, lol) the second is the logo for Every Time I Die. I'll have to see if I have photos.

Here is mine. I got it because I love to wear bracelets, but they are kind of a pain in the ass. So now it's like I have one that is always on!

I want to get my sons' names in ambigram form on my other wrist.

I've been thinking that I really like the ones in white ink. They are so subtle which is one thing that really appeals to me. I don't want the world to instantly tell it is there, I want it to just be for me.

I'm getting one in July (my birthday) but instead of having it go across my wrist I'm having it lengthwise down my arm

as in *elbow* tattoo words this way *wrist*

not
*wrist*
tattoo words

*elbow*

Partly because I prefer it that direction and partly because what I want "She is too fond of books and it has turned her brain" doesn't fit as well across the wrist.

Tattoos are way too common around here for people under 50 for me to be too concerned about some words on my inner arm. Something big, bold & multicolored taking up my whole upper arm might be a different matter, but no one really blinks an eye at words or small tats around here. Here is a small town in rural Virginia.

I have been wanting a Tat since I was 21, I am 36 this year and still haven't committed...The wrist ones really appeal to me though so I am considering it more and more....

I want to get one with the autism puzzle piece symbol and some wording (not sure what yet), but haven't decided exactly how I want to do it.....I like the idea of having it so people can read it without me having to twist my arm...I draw blood for a living so my arm/wrists are ALWAYS towards my patients and I think I would get really tired of twisting my arm every time somebody asked what it said.....
