Is it just me? I feel like Christmas is coming!

You know that warm feeling in your tummy knowing that Christmas is just a week away...well I have it knowing that NSD is coming!!!

I am so looking forward to shopping my face off and picking up lots of wonderful things!!!

I am such a sucker for sales...yee-haw!!!

I just know designers have hoarded lots of new good stuff and I cannot wait to see it all!!!

I have literally cleared anything from my calender, turned down offers to socialize, even told my mom (who will be in from out of town) that I am NOT TO BE DISTURBED on NSD!

So am I crazy or is anyone else this excited?
 
I feel that way, too, only from the perspective of the parent who is nauseous knowing how much money she's going to spend but completely helpless when faced with all the fab deals.

My goal is to use SOMEthing I bought at DSD before I stock up on NSD goodies. If only I could limit my spending to these two times a year. {shakes head sadly}
 
I have been trying to use kits I bought and have never used like mad so I can justify spending more money...I am like Kellie, I feel so guilty!
 
You know, the FlyLady says we should get rid of things that make us feel guilty. I like Mimi's idea of just deleting the kits she hasn't used to make space for more kits she won't use. ;)
 
I'm excited about NSD too!

I have lots of kits I haven't used as well :( so now my goal when I buy something is use it immediately, that way it won't go the the unused kits pile anymore.
 
i feel a little panicked. I only have 26 gb free left on my EHD, which is where all photos, digi stuffs and layouts go.

it has really curbed my shopping.

but in anticipation of NSD, yes, I have been deleting. just not as much as I should :(

buying a new EHD is such a catch 22. if i buy one, I'll have more space but no money for digi goodies . . . If i don't get one . . . I still can't buy any digi goodies b/c I have no where to put them . . .
 
Oh I have dozens of kits I haven't used yet. But it makes my heart happy to know they are there on my EHD just waiting for me. I know there will be a time...eventually...that I will use up every pixel!

I figure there are far more expensive things I could spend money on. I don't buy lots of clothes (I don't work so jammie pants and Tshirts are my uniform) and I am pretty frugal in other aspects.

I will say I have about about 2 dozen hybrid chipboard albums in my craft closet just waiting to be adorned!!! I am about it on NSD!!
 
Okay I can't even believe I am going to confess up to this...but as you all know, my daddy passed away last month. He was cremated and we were waiting to take him to Arlington Nat'l Cemetery to be buried...and my sister called me today freaking out, trying to find a day we could all go and it wasn' working out AT ALL...turns out the ONLY time it worked for everyone but me was Friday-Saturday , may 2-3. I FREAKED. okay I freaked on the inside cause even I wouldn't show my family that scrapping would be so important as that, but it did bother me. I would have done what i had to do and missed NSD if need be, but it turns out, the funeral home here will coordinate with the funeral home there and they will do it all and then we can go when there is actually a marker for him with his name on it..we are thinking in July when they will have a flag there too. But really I was so ashamed at how RELIEVED I was when it didn't work out for us to go next weekend. There MUST be a 12 step program somewhere right?

I'm ridiculously excited! I've even schemed a way to make DH take the day off (I'm not horrible, he works 6 days out of 7) so that I won't be here all by myself with the kiddos!
 
You're not the only one. I'm totally looking forward to next weekend. Most of my work for the school year will be done, except for a couple of final exams I need to give. That means I don't need to feel guilty about taking time to shop and scrap. DD was invited to a birthday party, but that should only take about 2 hours of my day.
 
Fortunately the only thing I HAVE to do that day is take DS for baseball pictures. I'll be gone an hour at the most. I don't want to miss ANY of it but I have to do this one little thing for DS.

Im super excited too!! I dont honestly shop much lately because it just hasnt been a priority with all the bills we have but I am so giving myself the green light to go nuts! I am so excited!!

I'm super duper excited too and if hubby does get off work he has a side job to do so that means ALLLLL DAY I can be here! YAY! LOL! I even told him if he's off with nothing to do that I will have my butt at the computer!
 
i don't have any clients that day so far. so i might be around for most of the celebrations. i might not have any money to spend, but, i'll be around.
 
I am so excited my DH is working the Nascar race in Richmond for Charity so I am ALONE!!!! WHOOOOHOOO!!!!! No....are you going to make lunch??? Blah Blah - I am ordering Pizza as soon as it opens and scrapping all day!!!! :thumbup:
 
Wanna know what I love most about this NSD??? I am taking my vacation from work right around it!!! Woo Hoo! Plus I will have a nice, tidy sum ready for me in my Paypal account. All is good!
 
I'm excited - NSD and black friday are the two days a year I go nuts and get all kinds of goodies, last year was a blast! :thumbup:
 
I made sure my PayPal was stocked up and ready for next weekend. I will probably go nuts with all the goods. I can hardly wait....and yes, it does feel like Christmas is coming.
