staying up all night?

Sometimes I just love the peace and quiet of night, and I just want to stay up all night and scrap. Not that I'm actually scrapping . . .
 
I use to be a total night owl, but since having kids I have to get to bed before midnight or suffer when they awake at 7 am the next day! lol I love the quiet though.....

I'm with ya Eve, use to stay up most of the night playing bones but since the kids came along I HAVE to go to bed by 11 or else I pay for it the next day. I should really be :sleep: by now!
 
I do...I love how quiet it is after the girls are asleep (that is if they aren't up talking!) and if DH is out for some church meeting (so the TV isn't on). My girls are chatty, chatty so i really like the break from 'noise' for a nice stretch.

BUT...I know wake up at around 5:30am...so I try to go to bed at 11:30pm or before. Whoops! Guess I'm 10 minutes pass my own curfew :D
 
I'd love to sometimes, but I'm not a night owl AT ALL. I sometimes get up quite early and enjoy the quiet then. I even got to see some gorgeous sunrises!!

yup, I will be cursing myself in the morning!

karen, I hear you on the chatty chatty! DS talks constantly. And then he quizzes me. :blink:
 
I LOVE to be up late at night; I really am at my best from like 9-12, but my kiddos are up before the sun, and the sun comes up EARLY here! :( Every night I tell myself I'll go to bed early, and every night, there I am chatting and scrapping and avoiding.
 
Im a night owl lol Sometimes I loose all track of time and before i know it, its 4am hehe I love my "quiet" time tho :thumbup:

I am a total witch if I don't get 8 hours of sleep so I go to bed pretty early. The latest I stay up is 11 LOL!
 
I would so love to and sometimes I do. Since I work during the day, I can only scrap at night and I'd love to maximize the scrap time. Unfortunately the only time I pull near all-nighters is when I have too much work to do for my job. I used to be a morning person, but with having insomnia a number of times, I've moved to be a night owl more...

I'm so not a night owl -- I get a headache and feel crappy if I don't get enough sleep!
 
Having suffered through 3 years of insomnia, now controlled by meds, I have to get 8 hours of sleep & my boys are up by 6:30am. Which is not to say I don't want to stay up and scrap and chat & things. Sometimes I really would like to, but then I can't take my pill & will get no sleep at all.

But DH & the boys are camping for 3 days next week so I will be staying up as late as I want and sleeping in as late as I want. :)
 
I totally want to all the time! But I could never handle it! I struggle if I stay up past 11! But oh how I love the quiet of those night time hours...
 
Thats pne of the things I hate about my DDs growin up - they stay up later so my quiet time keeps shrinking! But I do enjoy the peace even if its brief and I have to sleep walk to get it!
 
Absolutely, Meems.

Definitely a night owl here, and I feel like I'm finally relaxed enough to get in a scrap groove around 10:30 or 11. On the weekends that BF has his son, I will come home from their house around that time, check email and watch Jay & Conan, and then stay up until 3 or 4 scrapping and ACDSeeing.

Sometimes, it feels like a 'waste' to get more than 5 or 6 hours of sleep, kwim? But I'm a freak like that.
 
I'm a total night owl! Before I had kids, I loved to stat yp until 3-4 am and just do my thing... write, read, watch movies. Now, I am still never in bed before 12-1 am. And it's my secret favorite treat to stat up really late on a night when my hausband will be getting up with the kids the next day!
 
I do EVERY night, actually I was up till 5 am last night. Its getting to the ponit where I think my system is used to it so I dont even really fall to bad in the morning when I get up with the kids. They usually sleep till about 8 or so am so I usually get at least a few hours.
 
Every night I am like this. Everyone else goes to bed, and I'm here scrapping or surfing, and totally lose track of time. I love the quiet time, and I'm such a night owl anyway.
 
That's why I LOVE my Friday nights! I get to sleep in on Saturdays so not only do I get a few hours of quiet when the girls and DH go to bed and I get to stay up late, but I get a few more hours of sleep & a few hours of not having to deal with the girls too!
 
I LOVE my late nights too - when everyone is finally sleeping and the house is my own... it almost feels like the whole world is my own and i want to go prowl around outside... (NO idea what i'd do out there, but I'm sure I could figure something out!)

If it were a different world I would totally take a walk at midnight everynight! But I am with leeandra that if I go to bed earlier that about 1 I feel like I've wasted so much good time!
 
omg. YES!! i feel like that right now. the house is clean and quiet and i just want to stay awake all night to enjoy it.
 
I'm a night owl by nature. I have no kids and don't work, so I can sleep in and get what sleep I want,lol. I get to bed around 4 am or so and then read until at least 5 :blink: . If it weren't for chemistry, I'd never sleep :p .
 
I pick 2 or 3 nights a week to stay up late and have the house to myself (especially if DH is traveling) but I am usually sleeping by 10:30-11:00. So sad considering I used to stay up till 1-2 every night. Once the kids are finally out of school and I do not have to babysit my niece anymore I will probably stay up a lot later. I will be a scrapping fool this summer!!!!!
 
Before baby #4 I did...often...but this last boy has kicked my butt and I can't stay past 10PM most nights with out being a total witch in the next day!! :D
