No, I don’t really want to turn back the clock to be the person I was 13 years ago. I do, however, want to recapture some of the things that I was back then - specifically in great shape, energetic and more playful. Over the years I’ve gotten pretty lazy about taking care of my health. I’ve gone on diets and exercised and my weight has fluctuated through the years from 126lbs when that picture was taken at Lake Bostalsee in Germany 13 years ago up to almost 200 pounds right after Steven was born. Since then I’ve been as low as 133 and as high as 162 right before Christmas last year. I’ve finally reached the point where I know I have to make some changes before my health gets worse and it gets even harder to become healthy and active again.
My plan is relatively simple - the simpler it is the better the chance I have of making long-term changes. I am going to concentrate on getting into shape and the increased energy and playful attitude will follow.
My 3-step plan:
Make healthier food choices
Exercise more
Drink enough water
