The journaling reads -
After watching me and Jamin play a little backyard baseball, Mya grabbed the bat and insisted it was her turn. As I got ready to pitch, Jamin said, “It’s ok Mom, I’ll do it.” He tossed the ball toward her gently and Mya gave it a mighty swing, but failed to connect. She promptly yelled at Jamin, “You are supposed to hit my bat with the ball!” Fortunately Jamin was in an accommodating mood and got down on one knee to pitch at her level offering words of encouragement - “You can do this Mya.” Again the pitch and again a swing and a miss. This continued for several pitches until finally Mya managed to tap the ball with her bat sending the ball 3 feet in front of her. Jamin and I cheered vigorously while Mya ran around the yard, declaring it a home run.
