Journalling reads:
"Dear Evelyn, you are now 8 months old.Your two favourite things are standing while holding our hands, and trying to pull up to standing (which I don't think is too far away).
You are in the middle of a developmental leap (or a 'Wonder Week'), you're learning a lot suddenly and your brain is growing and changing. However, this has come with a cost to your night sleep... which isn't all that great. You wake up screaming every 30-90 minutes because you want to go back to sleep but just can't, and need a breastfeed to resettle. We're trying to get you back into your own bed overnight but at the moment, it is much quicker and more simple to co-sleep and just latch you on (you are the only one of our babies who has slept regularly in our bed).
For the most part, you are a very happy baby during the day. You love both milk and solids, and have recently upped your intake at mealtimes, now that you can more easily pick up food with your thumb and forefinger. Blueberries and banana are your favourites, you also like eating pasta, yoghurt, oranges and peanut butter bread.
You have 5 teeth (3 on top and 2 on the bottom), getting the top ones all during this past month. You are starting to actually play with us, taking my hands and pulling them back and forth when you want me to do "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" with you. You sometimes wave back when we wave. And when someone is talking, you wait for them to stop and interject with "A-ya-ya-ya-ya-ya-ya!" (which is really quite funny).
Your crawling is getting faster, though you still haven't gotten up on hands and knees. Instead you've perfected the commando crawl and scoot along on your tummy, elbows and toes".
