Project Life (week 5, day 3): Snow Day Painting and Cooking
Up at 1, 3 and 5:30-6:30 am with Evan. Finally took him into my bed so he stopped waking Cameron up. He slept to 7:15.
Woke up to the plows coming through the neighborhood. We got about three inches over night. We were thinking about going to the library “babies in bloom” program, but not in this cold mess!
I let Cameron paint for the first time today with his new paints and easel. He LOVED it! He loved swirling the colors together on his paint plate and did remarkably well about keeping the paint only on the brush and paper (after realizing he didn't like the feel of it on his hands!).
Made six chicken “dump” crockpot dishes to keep on hand in the freezer. It took me about 3 hours since I also had to entertain and take care of the boys in between things.
PRODUCTS: Used background papers & tag from sugarplum's "life in real color" kit for colors, created my own title (month) card, info graphics, and modified a journal card from September Blue. |
