The recent discussion about what we're all reading this month got me to thinking ... do any of you regularly scrapbook or journal about what you're reading?

I need another project like I need a hole in my head, but I'm intrigued by the idea. If so, what format do you use? And what do you record about each read (or listen)?

I included what I was reading in my October album (because all the spooky reads!) but don't do it regularly. I do have a tracker (or 5!) in the back of my planner and also add stickers in every time I start a new book.

No. I just keep track on Goodreads. I saw a girl online who's making decorative focaccia bread inspired by each book she reads. I thought that was cute.

Only when it's done for a challenge prompt or when a book theme kit comes out. They're good to look back on though.

I tend more to scrap ABOUT reading than the details of the book itself. Listing the authors or titles is more common.

Yes! I generally scrap year-end lists of either all the books I've read or my favorites if it's too many books. Those pages include title and author (and sometimes book covers).

I've also scrapped about books I'm currently reading with a book synopsis.

I keep track of favorite passages in my Kindle, so I could totally see pages including that information as well.

I seriously should. I forget books and seriously have to think about whether I've already read a lot of them.

I keep track of the books read on Goodreads. I rarely review or give details about my reading BUT I just got a sunny yellow cart, and it's my book reading cart that I will be sharing with my hubby. The top shelf has pens, book marks, post-its, and washi tape. The middle shelf is mine and includes what I want to read over the next couple of months. The bottom shelf is my husband's, and he's just starting to put his books on there. I have done a lot of layouts about what I've read for the year, and I **think** I might have done a layout about a book that was particularly touching or insightful.

Reading is a huge part of my life for the past few years, but I don't do this enough - going to have to put it on my to-scrap list. I'm always buying book themed kits and I never use them hahaha

Not really. I keep up with what I've read on Good Reads, but haven't really scrapped about it.

no but I want to! Last year kimberly started posting layouts of books she read and i loved her approach - instead of using just kits for reading etc she used kits that went with the books a bit - I thought it was a great idea ;)

Journaling AND writing book reviews is a big insecurity of mine so it's something I would like to do - even on goodreads I only rate the books, I've only ever wrote my thoughts about books a handful of times.

NON-SCRAPPING related - I love the idea of doing a yearly book jar where you print out the cover of the book and make itty bitty mini books of what you have read and put them in a jar.

One of the things I want to get back to this year is writing. I also stick to star ratings on Goodreads but I'd love to be able to pour some energy into actually writing reviews as well. I love the idea of scrapping individual books and using a themed kit for it, but I read over a hundred books a year and that would just be wayyyy too much. But I did make a note to do a page about my five star books and maybe a yearly recap.

I did an ornament like this for a friend of mine for our gift exchange last year. It was a huge hit, so I decided to repeat it again but with my book club. The ornament had the name of our book club and tiny versions of the 12 books we read in 2024. It turned out to be super cute!!

I keep track on goodreads & did monthly book pages for 2023 I think but usually I do random 5star book scrapbook layouts or a faves of the year recap type of page. I recently joined a neighborhood book club & have thought about keeping a journal for that (I read so much I often forget details by the time we have our club meeting.)

Nope. I'm just trying to get better at keeping my Goodreads updated so I can see what I have and haven't read. I constantly have a book going. I read on my kindle and get most books through my library and the libby app.

I don't but I really want to! I consider it a win to even get any reading in these days but I do keep a list and often find myself referring to it to see if I've read a certain book or not. If I scrapped/journaled about each book then the storyline would probably stay in my head longer and I wouldn't have to double check if I've read it or not!

I have done made the tiny books a few times and put them in a clear plastic Christmas ornament to hang on the tree.
