Haven't made it out of the house yet, but just about to leave. Visit DH's stepdad in the hospital (fluid in the lungs, and his heart is fighting with his pacemaker), visit my ex-stepdad, go to my mom's for BBQ.

We are headed to my IL's (blech) for a bit and then to a big craft fair at the local state park. Maybe we'll head down to the river to splash around or something, but I have a feeling our IL's will pressure us into staying all day for dinner and crap. :glare:

We're skipping church today :p It feels nice to get a break - I play the piano for the service and I get stressed out sometimes.
We're skipping church b/c we're going out for dim-sum (brunch) w/the ILs. Originally it was supposed to be dinner yesterday, but FIL wanted to do dim-sum and since it's Father's Day lol.
It actually works out b/c my relatives had their Father's Day dinner yesterday.
ETA: Oh yeah, and Boooo :( After lunch, DH has to use MY minivan (lol) to drop off firewood at a campsite for the College kids who are camping this weekend. DH is involved in the College Department, but wasn't going camping b/c he'll be gone soon for 1.5 weeks playing Softball in Canada. But the person who was supposed to drive the firewood flaked late this week.

Stayed home from church with Connor who's been running a fever for a couple of days. Cam went to church with my parents and just got home. I just went outside to set up their pool only to discover that my husband didn't wash the pool out when he emptied it yesterday. He had left it out for about a week because he kept saying he was going to mow the grass so he didn't want to drain it all over the yard. But he never mowed (supposed to do it today) and so the pool was full of all kinds of crap from the week's storms (rain, wind, etc). So when I got it out just a bit ago it was so nasty and slimy and disgusting. I had to HAND WASH IT for 30 minutes and now there is a tiny hole in the bottom that I have to patch. I swear I'm gonna return his father's day gifts.... ARGH!!

No big plans here. :)
Went to the Rascal Flatts concert last night with BF (where I learned that a fun way to dance with a full-of-himself wannabe cowboy is to wrap your legs around his waist and arms around his neck like a monkey while he pitches you side to side as you try to desperately hold onto your empty plastic margarita cup, btw, or at least judging from the whore-y teenybop in front of us), so I'm resting up from that 'experience.'
BF is out doin' boy stuff w his son for FDay & then I'm heading over later so we can drive out to his parents' for dinner. My parents will be in town next weekend, so I will celebrate FDay with my dad then.

We went out to breakfast and to Walmart, Jeff's at work.. he'll be home in an hour or so... The kids and I made choc chip cookies, I just finished turning most of them into ice cream sandwiches for dessert tonight.
They just got up from nap, we're watching the race and we'll go to my aunt's for dinner around 5.

Went to the city and had a picnic in the park, then went to the Commons and played in the playground. Kaylee was being a bugger so we left earlier than we wanted and went to Dairy Queen for Blizzards then came home so she could have a nap. Now DH & the girls just finished playing Pop 'n Go and we're watching the race.

Nothing turned out like it was supposed to for sure today. After church, my family was all supposed to get together at our pool (here in our neighborhood). With daddy dying in March, we knew today was going to be hard and the plan was supposed to be to be together. But my mom turned psycho b*tch and didn't show, my brother decided he didn't want to do anyting at all and holed up at his house by himself and my sister and I tried to carry on as planned and go to the pool but it rained. Of course, by the time we gathered up our stuff, got home and changed out of our suits of course the sun came out, but the mood was ruined :( I'm just ready for today to be over so I'm sitting here doing some work to get a jump on tomorrow. then I plan to do a load or two of laundry and DH is grilling steaks for our Daddy Day Dinner. maybe there is something that can be salvaged of today after all, lol.

I let DH nap most of the morning as he ran out of coffee yesterday. But I served him breakfast in bed and the presents from the dogs/me. We then went to the Dog Fest with our youngest. Unfortunately he got over heated and cranky so we had to leave a little earlier than we wanted, even though he had fun with the other doggies. We didn't get to take him to pose for the Milk Bone dog contest though because of the long line without shade...

um, I got up before everyone else, headed to the grocery store for fresh french bread and then came home to make everyone bacon and french toast for brunch. After brunch, we went over to our neighbors while they loaded the rest of their busted concrete steps (7 hours with a jackhammer to rip it up!) into our truck. I watched their kids while they went to dump it all, and Des went to work. Now I am home, doing laundry, trying to figure out what to make for dinner tonight.

we visited FIL @ nursing home today, had late lunch, stopped at sporting goods store and library.
DH is now taking a nap since he was playing soccer @ 6am this morning.
Kids are watching videos right now. I'm going to play on computer a bit and then try to do some cleaning.

((Hugs)) Amy I'm sorry you had such a rough day.
Got up way too early, then made my SO breakfast and the shortly after he had to go to work.
We went to my cousins house and we got to go swimming so I'm exhausted!
My internet has been down all day. It is the whole state of PA. I'm so mad. (I'm posting this from my blackberry)
So now I'm just tired, got a headache and can't wait until bedtime.

Awww, sorry you were bored Bree! I hope you had more excitement at work! ;)
I made sausage gravy and biscuits for Breakfast and then we went into Boston for our annual Father's Day jaunt. We went to Boston Common where I got some great photos, we also went to Faneuil Hall and checkout all the fun stores and my DH and oldest DS tried oysters. I got some great shots of that too! So many fun upcoming pages! Then we went to DH's favorite restaurant and ate some good food!
I was hoping to meet up with Jadelyn as she is in Boston for a short visit this week but it didn't work out.
Hugs Amy, I know it must have been very hard for you!
