So, what did everyone do?

Was it a success?

Do you have a happy Daddy at home?

We went to church this morning and then for dinner I made a Korean dinner feast for my Secret Asian Man (DH really is Korean) and he LOVED it!! Also, the kiddos bought him the new Bourne Supremecy XBOX 360 game...he was so grateful!! He even tried to clean up the kitchen for me...I love that man!!

:::YAY...tell me your stories!:::

I ended up working 11.15 hours today, someone called in for the day shift and I ended up working my scheduled 4-8 shift, cept I didn't get to leave until 8:45, I am exhausted.

I hope my husband is happy-he doesn't do Fathers Day and refuses to acknowledge it as a special day at all, which makes things easy for us...LOL
I usually get him a little something anyways, but this year I decided to not do a thing. Happy Fathers Day Scott(NOT).

I had every intention of finishing my Road Trip Arrow Album for my dad today with pictures from the recent trip they took Landen on, but like a moron I put it off until today, and since I got called into work, I didn't get it done. I hugged him and kissed him, Told him to give me until tomorrow to finish his gift. My dad is so easy going he didn't seem to mind one bit.
They had Landen today while I was at work and put his little pool up and had a great day. I'm sure it ment as much as anything to spend Fathers Day with Landen, he loves him so much!

I hope everyone had a great day!

Church, lunch, then DH let ME sleep for almost FOUR hours today...gosh i love that man! I made him an abby album last night and he loved it :) was a PITA to put together but the kids all wrote on a page it was sooo sweet. He's a simple guy, doesn't require much to make him happy. I promised him a thai date night sometime next month complete with a movie after dinner..when both our sitters are avail (He LOVES Thai food..and we need 2 sitters haha)

Well, my day started off on a rough patch with me being pissed at DH for a couple of things. But then I relaxed and just went with the flow of the day and it got better. This evening after we finished some yard work, the boys wanted to take Jeff out to dinner at Red Robin. So we had a really nice dinner and then went to Best Buy to get FIL's gift card. Jeff loves to just browse that store, so we did that for a while. Then we came home and had some icecream and put the boys to bed. Now Jeff is taking a "nap" (he works tomorrow night so he has to be up all night tonight) and I'm scrapping a few of the fab pics I got tonight at the restaurant.
Here's a RARE pic of all three of my boys looking at the camera and smiling simultaneously.

We had a completely crazy day.....first dh wanted to do this then he wanted to do that...I couldn't figure out what he wanted and he seemed intent on not telling me but wanting me to somehow guess. We ended up going out to lunch (not a huge disaster but not great - there was nothing Sam (allergy boy) could eat that he was willing to eat). Then we went toy shopping cause the kids wanted to spend their allowance (fun but long....) then back home and the kids swam with Daddy while I piddled online (best part of my day I tell ya) then dinner for the kids and got the 2 littles to bed. 20 minutes later huge THUMP and Jack (4yo) is out screaming that Sam (22 months) fell out of the crib.......ugh. So then an hour to keep Sam awake and make sure he was ok (he fell on his head) and then take down the crib and set up the toddler bed......meanwhile pulling older two kids off wii and computer and making them get ready for bed. And of course does the baby go to bed in toddler bed? No. He's been up 5 times...he is asleep now finally (but it's 10:30 how could he not be????). Dh just ran to taco bell cause he and I never got dinner. Good times. :p And you know I don't think I even mentioned the part where the baby projectile vomited after dinner.....how could I miss that?

Well I have to admit that I had concidered blowing the day off. Kind of out of spite because he did nothing for me for Mother's day but made my day miserable. But I thought about it and decided to be the bigger person. So I went out and got him some new shirts and a card for Kimmie to give him. Which he was very happy to get. Then yesterday we went to the carnival and he actually decided to join us. He never does those kinds of things with us and I think he was happy he did. He commented that he was enjoying watching Kim's excitement probably more then she was enjoying the carnival. Then today was a lazy laid back day of nothing. I made him Chicken Fried Steak and potatoes for dinner. And now he and Kim are both in bed early and I'm enjoying the quiet.

Everything went as planned.

Jeff, his son, and I drove over to Jeff's parents' house for dinner. We passed out cards and talked some. We dropped his son off with his ex before heading home and then watched 'The Perfect Storm' which he'd DVRed from TBS (I love the 'LA dubbing' that channel does w potty mouth words! *lol*) before I came back here to my house.

I gave him a card that said something along the lines of, 'Honey, I want you to know for Fathers' Day that I love you... even though you fart in bed.' He thought it was hysterical, and I thought it was a more appropriate card than a big ol' mushy one considering we don't have children together. :p

The kids woke Jeff up with the layered album we made, he liked that, once he woke up enough to look at it. LOL We went out to breakfast and Jeff went to work. The kids and I made choc chip cookies and ice cream sandwiches, then they napped and I scrapped. After Jeff got home from work we watched the end of the race, then we went to my aunt's for dinner. Came home and I watched the horrible basketball game and went to bed. :)

Oh... I got my daddy a digital photo keychain and loaded a bunch of pics of the kids on it.. he loved it.

We gave Brad the layer album I made. Then I went off for a few hours while he took the boys out to lunch & to various hardware stores. Then he rode his new motorcycle a few times. Later we went to his favorite Teppan Yaki restaurant.

I took the kids shopping at Macys so they could pick out some presents (a wallet and shoes), then I kinda got lost in the mall and went to the pretzel place cuz DDs said they were hungry. After all that I found my way back to the car and picked up lunch and went home. DDs gave him his present and he was happy.

We actually went to a graduation party after that, but there were lots of fathers there and we celebrated Father's Day together with the rest of the families. He said he had a good time, So I can say it went well. :)

Ours turned out ok. I had a hairy moment fussing with DH at church :( But he really liked his gifts. We got one of those Craftsman tool boxes at sears that comes with paint and stickers and stuff for the kids to decorate for him, and the kids also gave him a new razor and blades, shaving cream and body wash. (dang razors are not CHEAP anymore. By the time we bought the razor and some blades, that alone was over $20!) and I gave him a bottle of Lacoste cologne. We tried to go to the pool but the weather didn't cooperate so we just came home and hung out. Chad grilled steaks on the grill and we had a good dinner together. that was the FIRST time in 12+ years my husband has said the dinner prayer and he said how grateful he was for his kids and how he wanted to be a better daddy, etc. Made me nearly cry. Other than that, I spent most of the day missing my own daddy :(

After finally waking up DH an NOON we had breakfast ( DS2 made eggs over easy for all of us) and then we just hung out for awhile, cleaned up after the party the night before and then went to my Bro & SIL's house and had pizza and just hung out. We played bags and then went home. I was in bed by 10:15 and that is about it. He did like the clothes I got him though so I guess it was a good day!!!!!

I just bought him a movie we haven’t seen yet but know we’d like (National Treasure 2) and Kristen made him a few things at school (piggy bank and a card). Since the weather was nice, we packed up a lunch and had a picnic at Point Pleasant Park (http://www.pointpleasantpark.ca/en/home/default.aspx) then went to the Halifax Commons (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halifax_Commons). After that we went to Dairy Queen and had Blizzards…yum!

The day started off OK at our house. I got up, fed the kids banana pancakes and bacon - trying very hard to save some for Dan when he finally got up. Dan gets up, feed him and we're getting ready to go to a gun show (don't ask! It's what he wanted to do), when WHACK! I kick a metal fishing tackle box that one of the boys left in the middle of the floor. Now I'm cussing/crying and generally carrying on because I think I broke my little toe. So Dan gets me back to the sofa, hooks up my computer for me, gets me an ice pack and Alieve and leaves the house for 4 hours with the boys. I just love this man!
He comes home after a frantic call from me because there is a WASP in the house! Of course he can't find it...I had gone limping very quickly from the room after it flew at me! (the boys woke him up this morning when they found it behind their toy shelves).
We finally settle down to a nice grilled dinner of rib-eyes, corn on the cob and oven fried potatoes. MMMMM...at least that part went OK. (I have photos that I'll upload later)
I had bought a Webber charcoal grill for him a couple weeks ago, so that was his main gift. But, I also sneaked in a new carving set...he always complains we do not have a good carving set.

So, I guess you could say that up until dinner it was calamity corner in our world. But, I think it ended on a decent note.

My kids' dad didn't show up at 12 to pick them up like he was supposed to, so I took them to see Kung Fu Panda and then we went out to dinner with my mama and daddy. This is the 3rd year in a row that he's gone MIA on father's day, but he's not around much anyway so it was no surprise to me. I was just hoping that this year would be different. Actually after the crying spell my daughter had for a few minutes because he didn't show up, we had a really good rest of the day.

I cried like a baby last night when my 12 year old son told me happy father's day and that he loved me. He told me that he knew I was mama and daddy both and then he thanked me for taking such good care of him and his sisters.

We went to church and then came home. I made a taco salad that my DH loves. I also made a pineapple salad that he loves. We ended up playing games all afternoon and then watched a movie. =))

DH got an audio version on The Hobbit for father's day. That's what he said he wanted and that's what he got. LOL

Hubby was working over the weekend but got to come home Saturday night so we went to dinner. He had to go back to work the next day but not until 1 in the afternoon. We ended up getting to go to church and then right after church he left for work so now I don't know when he will be back home...ah, the life of a truck driver! Today is one of those days that I'm missing him too much and am feeling pretty down.

Sounds like a pretty nice out to going to the gun show. Although a painful one.
