I have scrapped so many pages for Wesley's 1st year (Newborn - 12 months old) book that I'm not sure there's anything left to scrap, which is great b/c I'm super excited to get everything printed!!

But, I have a few questions...

Compilation...
a. Put all of Wesley's pages in one big "Baby's 1st Year" book, which would be more detailed than a traditional Baby Book. (But if do this, would I add just duplicate pages to our family scrapbook?
b. Put only select pages (like the "major milestones") into a Baby Book - just like a traditional Baby Book. And then put all of the other pages into the family scrapbook.

Printing...
a. Print the pages and put them into plastic sleeves and add to a post-bound 12x12 scrapbook. (I already have the scrapbook and the plastic page sleeves). The one good thing about doing this is that I can add pages, if I wanted to, in the future.
b. Get the pages printed in a bound photo-book. (Which would look really nice and "polished," but I wouldn't' be able to add pages without having the whole book re-printed.

If you've done something similar, what did you do? (And do you have pics?)

Any other ideas? Any input would be appreciated!

I don't have a baby, so I'm useless.

But I would just do one big old book. Years down the road I would want to see more than just the milestones. I'd want to see the everyday moments that we shared that special first year.

I'm working on my daughters baby album right now, to have it printed. I chose that option so I could design in 8x8 and design every page to match. It is all made using the same papers and elements so everything matches well, and my normal pages NEVER match. I love how it's turning out... but it's taking me forever!
Have fun with this. :)

Hmm...I would say a bound Baby's 1st year book, with at least they major milestones and I would probably put everything you have scrapped in there. Then if you add any later, add those to the family scrapbook and I would probably print some duplicate pages to put in the family scrapbook even though they were in the baby's first year book. Good luck :)

Well since I started L.J.'s in paper for his first year, no I haven't printed any of the digi first year LOs I've done. But...I started his second year with all digi and when I printed them I made sure there were no other pics that I might want to have in there.

Once I was positive I did 2 separate Shutterfly books. One June 06-Dec 06 and another Jan 07-Jun 07 (his birthday is in June). I separated them because of the number of pages in each one.

And I included every LO from that year of his life, not just milestones.

I don't scrap chronogically and I have Cam's First year paper scrapped...poor Ryleigh and Teaghan don't have much. I do print my Los though..I think I'd prefer them all in there, not just milestones. I too like looking at a page and remembering that exact moment, not just the milestones..all moments are of equal importance lol
