Really, I want complete quiet silence..... no dh, no kids, no bil, no dogs, no birds... you get the drift...
I'm trying really hard to keep my spirits up. BIL moved in yesterday. I tend to get pretty depressed when he's around for long periods of time. I don't know why. He and I have never really hit it off and now he's living with us... again. I can feel the depression and anger building already. I have a feeling I will be spending A LOT of time at my parents house until he finds a house and moves out.
DS#1 is constantly in my face. Talking, yelling, etc.
and now, DH is in our theater room with the tv/stereo up so loud I can't hear myself think...
I think they are all conspiring against me. I don't know how my little man sleeps through all of this noise. :(

Hugs, Kat - hang in there! Are you somewhere you can take a walk safely? Literally leaving your troubles behind you and breathing helps sometimes.

Ohhh...to keep the sound out, not in! Gotcha...
Is it quiet outside? That's my favorite place to go to escape the cacophany.

Well, I'm off to try a bubble bath with a good book. Hopefully that will help. :) Thanks for the hugs girlies. I can tell already that it's going to be a long couple of months....

Oh hon, I am so sorry!! ((hugs)) I know that feeling, we had my BIL move in (well he was supposed to go OTR with my hubby and ended up staying at our house) and it was something else! I hope you are able to relax with your book!!

Big (((hugs))). I don't think I'd want a houseguest I loved staying for a couple of months - I can't imagine the stress of a prolonged visit from someone I wasn't close to.
I think they are all conspiring against me.
I suspect my three kids have spreadsheets and synchronized watches!
I am a big fan of peace and quiet. Most days I'd settle for a dull roar.

I'll split the cost with you and come to Cali and we can share the room!
Can you imagine all the trouble our boys could cause while we chill in our new room?
Good thing would be-we couldn't hear a thing!
Zak is old enough to deal with most any emergency-so we wouldn't have to feel to guilty!

Aw Kat, I'm so sorry. I hate noise, I like my OWN home, so I can totally understand how you're feeling. I hope he gets out asap.

LOL Shan! That would be great!!!
Thanks girls! I never made it to the bath. Totally crashed once I closed the door to my room and slept like a baby.
I think the worst part of it is the anger I feel. I know I shouldn't feel like that and I was aware this was coming and thought I would be okay. But, DH is not happy about it either and I think his attitude is rubbing off on me. I just keep hoping that he will find a house quickly and be able to get through the escrow process fast. He said he thinks he found one yesterday but didn't get to see the inside because of renters... and it is bank owned. He wants to offer $30K less than the listed price. Who knows, he may get it...
Anywho, now I'm off to work to deal with a stressed out boss and a power hungry, micromanaging office manager (who really has no pull whatsoever).
Geez, doesn't my life sound like fun right now???? LOL!!! :p Thanks so much for letting me vent!!!!

Kat, holy cow woman, I totally feel your pain.
My DF's brother moved in with us 2 weeks ago and I almost cried myself to sleep last night I'm so frustrated by him. And the worst is that we don't have any idea how long he'll be staying with us (he moved for work, and the contract has no specific end date).
He's 28 and throws temper tantrums and pouts when he doesn't get his way (6 times this weekend). He's never lived by himself (still lives with his PARENTS) and doesn't understand why we're having such a hard time dealing with him being there. We lived by ourselves for a year and it's DIFFICULT adjusting your schedule to add someone else in, let alone a 28 year old child.
I already warned DF that if his attitude keeps up I'm going to end up losing it on him. Thankfully, his attitude drives DF crazy too (although not as crazy as me since he's more used to it having grown up with him) so DF has said he doesn't care if I yell at him.

OMWord...ladies I am so sorry for both of you!!! I think you both need to scrap pages with the quote or proverb (what ever it is) about how house guest are like fish and they start to stink after 3 days and print that sucker off and put a copy in every room!!! Course I'm kind of a brat like that!!! :p
Hope you both are house guest FREE very soon!!! (((HUGS)))

Sorry to hear that Kat. If you wanna take a day trip to the east bay and hang out with me you're welcome to! :) In fact, I stayed home from work today with sick kids even though DH is home. I just can't bring myself to work today.
