My 18-month-old finds a way to the cat box no matter where I put it!! And why OH WHY does he feel the need to EAT it???
:crying: It's DISGUSTING!! (I've been battling this for days, I'm at the end of my fracking rope)

Ok, that's bad.
I still tell the story of my oldest playing hot wheels in the litter box when he was about 18 months. Being a first time mother I actually took him to the pediatrician and was like "WHAT IF HE EATS POOP?"
The Dr said "well... he'll only do it once."
He never did eat any poop but he kept playing hot wheels in there. lol

My son does this too, though he doesn't eat it, i don't think. he hasn't been doing it much lately. i think he's starting to 'outgrow' it thankfully. My dog however (golden retriever) LOVES to eat poop. Cat litter, and i even caught him in the freaking TOILET eating it if the kids forget to flush!!! EWWWWWW!! It makes me wanna gag, lol.

Ewwww! I wonder if one of those ones with a cover would help, or maybe you could get the litter box up somewhere higher where the cat could jump to, but not a kid? I know people can catch things from cats (roundworm, toxoplasmosis) though it's probably not likely.

Well I have no ideas about your son, but at least dogs do it for the protein fix (gross as it is :p ) lol.
