Okay so yesterday I said I had baby fever. Someone posted yesterday a thread about in college I was so poor_________ (finish the sentance) so I started thinking about being a new mom, and all the funny things I did when I was sooooooo tired :p

So how about we share "I was so tired I ______________"

Like, I was so tired that when I had to go back to work, I once packed myself a bottle for lunch. True story! Or I once fell asleep on the way BACK to my bedroom from a late night feeding. My hubby literally found me passed out on the corridor floor!

I was so tired that I went in to get my baby - was cradling her and fell asleep standing up. It turned out that I wasn't even cradling DD but her dolly instead. LOL

I was so tired, I fell asleep sitting on the toilet.

I was so tired, I fell asleep standing up leaning on the crib, rubbing Rae's back.

I was so tired, I used to breastfeed and obviously not wake up at all, as I would have no recollection of even getting up to get the baby in the night. Tony used to tell me, I got up, changed their diaper, came back to bed, fed them, put them back in their crib...and I would have NO memory of any of it LOL

Oh yes...I remember doing that! I would fall asleep in the rocking chair breast feeding. Or pass out so hard when I got back to bed that I would think I hadn't fed my babies all night and wake up in a panic.

...this is helping calm my baby fever!

ROFL Jamie! I have fallen asleep on the throne myself, but it wasn't baby tiredness! LOL

And Chels, I've actually fallen asleep with the remote and then when it fell out of my hands, it startled me awake! LOL

One time I fell asleep nursing, sitting indian style in the middle of my bed with the light at full brightness (it has a dimmer), and when I woke up I was leaning over my son! I was terrified I suffocated him! But, he was ok. Thank goodness! I was always very careful after that, no matter how tired I was!

I used to fill some bottles with water so they were ready to just mix in some formula at night. Well one night I was so tired that I started feeding my DS and then come time to burp him I look at the bottle to realize that I never actually put formula in the bottle - it was just water!

I was so tired that I swore I was already holding a baby when DH was trying to give me one to feed. (Life with twins was rough those first 3-months as this happened often, lol!)

I can totally relate to that one! I would continually forget which one had been fed or changed! Or I would assume that both had been fed when in reality only one had! I could never remember which one woke up or had nursed last either during the night. Sleep deprivation does some seriously bad things to my brain!

I was so tired I'd wake up nursing Bekah (she co-slept, so that was the norm) and panic, thinking I was nursing Jasmine and had no idea where Bekah was. I'd have to wake myself up more to realize I did have the right daughter next to me!
(oh, and they're almost 2 years apart, so it's not like it was twins here. There's a HUGE size difference!)

I was so tired after having my girls I went a whole 7 days once without showering - I literally used every extra minute I had sleeping!! LOL.
(Jami and Heather, during that early fog of tiredness when I realized how easy it was to forget who'd been fed or who did what in their diaper last, I started making charts for it! lol, that's when I started color coding their clothes so I'd know who was who and for about 4 months kept up with charting how much and when they ate and dirtied their diapers! Dh thought I was nuts, but he wasn't the one keeping them straight!)
