is no fun... just had to say that. ;)

He hasn't had a bottle since 5:00 yesterday morning and is starting to get a little cranky.

Benjamin was almost 3 before he weaned from the bottle, I had much better luck with the other two, they kind of gave it up themselves. I'm sure he'll be ok after a few days, just give him lots of love, and milk in a cup, which I'm sure you're already doing. Hang in there!

I'm trying to do this with two kids right now. Emma is almost 3. she just has water in the bottle, but she still needs to give it up completely. Aidanwill be 2 and he is giving me a lot of trouble. He refuses water. I really need to start cracking down and refusing to give him milk in the bottle but its so hard, especially at night when I really would like to sleep, lol. He just gets so mad! I'm at a loss for advice, since I need it myself.

(((Hugs))) GL ladies..mine went from the boob to a sippy cup pretty much with the occasional bottle here or there..it's the darn pacifier I can't seem to wean them of. Ryleigh was almost 2 and we took it away and she did well til she found one of Teaghans..now i'm back at square 1 lol...

Madeleine will be 2 in two weeks and she is still on a bottle mostly. She will take juice from a straw-sippy cup...but not milk. Her speech therapist is pulling her hair out at me because apparently, bottle drinking is not great for speech development. UGH!

My son, Ben, was on a bottle until he was 3. One day, I just said enough, and held him in my arms while he drank milk from a sippy. He cried and fussed, but after about a day, he was on a sippy. Miracle!

I guess I just need to get tough with Madeleine now.

We're going through the same thing! It was much easier with Kaitlyn than with Noah for some reason.

Oh sorry Kat!!! I got lucky with my youngest, she went to the sippy cup just fine! She has been completely off the bottle for a bit now and she will be two Sept 28th. Good luck girl, I hope he gets past it quickly for you!

My biggest problem with it is that he's not napping good since I'm not putting him down with a bottle. He slept for 45 minutes this morning which is usually a 2 hour nap. We'll see how he does this afternoon.

Derrick went from the bottle to sippy just fine. With him, getting him off the sippy was the hard part. I finally took it away on his 5th (yes, 5th) birthday...

Good luck!

I'm no help DS pretty much weaned himself by 10 mos...He just lost interest in it. But I never put him down with a bottle or anything so that may have had some to do with it. He's been such an easy kiddo with everything...this next one will be a little terror probably lol :)
