So I know we have to have some 90210 fans here. Did ya'll watch the new one last night? What did you think of it? I didnt really like the lead girl. She wasn't awful but also not the best either. I absolutely love the girl who plays Silver(and thought it was awesome that she is actually Erin Silver/Kelly and David's little sister) also thought it was cool that they brought Hannah Zuckerman-Vasquez ( I think that is her name anyhow) back so that would make her Andrea's daughter from the original series. I think this is gonna actually be a decent series.

I didn't catch it until around 8:30 so I was already alittle lost on who the characters were. I wasn't that impressed honestly. I was a 90210 fan and didn't miss an episode and this NEW show didn't seem anything like the original so I will have to see a few more episodes before I decide whole-heartedly!

Well Im not sure really what they call it now. It is channel 18 here. I think it used to be WB maybe it still is? It comes on the same channel as One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl.

I have too many shows I watch or DVR as it is, so I decided not to watch it.
Plus, I could never be as good as the one so many of us grew up with. At 25 I can't relate to high school anymore, kwim?

I tried to watch it but gave up about 8:45 and decided to wait and watch it with no commercials after it finished DVRing. It was a little slow for me and like Jami I was a HUGE fan of the original so I think I'm just comparing it too much.

I'm going to watch it again this afternoon and see if it seems any better.

Maybe that is why I liked it. I didnt have any expectations of it being like the original. I was a huge fan of the original also. I thought it was good on its own but still nowhere near as good as the original. My favorite character was always Dylan. I loved Luke Perry:-)

It's on the CW.

I've never seen the original but I liked this version. It kind of reminded me of The O.C. but with less brooding drama. :D I liked the main girl but I thought she was a bit cheesy at times and if her character continues to be so naive I think she'll get old rather fast. But it was definitely better than I'd expected it to be so I'm going to give it a chance. It's not like there's too many other shows on right now anyway. :D

I just have one question, the principal has a child with that other blond parent (I don't remember her name)? Is that from the original version or did they just add that in to this series to add drama? Since I've never seen the original version, I wasn't sure when I was supposed to know something from the past. :D

They knew that, so many of the story lines are more with the adults (for us grownups)LOL. I liked it for the most part :)

I liked it but I only caught the last hour. I have it set to DVR every week. I loved the original one and am really glad they brought back some of the original people.

I'm looking forward to Privileged that starts next week too!

I too was a huge fan of the original !!!! I unfortunately forgot to set my DVR for it so I missed the first episode. It is on WGN (channel 9) here and the Cubs game went into extra innings so it did not even start until after 11:30 maybe later than that. I hope to catch a reun of the first one though.

I only watched for a bit, but I was excited to see them bring back the babies :)

But it wasn't for me, I'm too old for high school stuff, but I bet it would appeal to that age group for sure. I'm more into crime shows anyway.

i saw some of it.

IMO terrible casting. Or maybe it's just me and I am old. The parents and students all looked the same age to me. Ethan and Annie's friend were OK.

that girl Annie, aack, soooooo annoying. (not sure if the character's name is actually Annie).

who is father of Kelly's son?

no chemistry btwn Lori Loughlin and dude playing her husband.

I DVR'ed it but haven't had a chance to sit down and watch it yet. I prefer to watch without the stupid commercials lol! I loved the original show so I'm hoping I like this one too, of course I was in high school when the original show started! Also for those that missed it last night they are playing an encore of the first episode Thursday at 8/7C.

Ok I just watched the whole thing minus commercials and it's probably a show I'll DVR and watch, but not be upset if I miss an episode. I'm really more curious about the storylines that relate back to the old show...Brenda visiting, Kelly's son, etc.
