Ok, so I have been posting my layouts for about a month now and I realize I never properly introduced myself. My name is Emily and I'm a stay at home mom to my daughter Meri(she's 13 months old). Happily married to my DH for 7.5 years. We have a great dog, named Scout, who is so much fun. And a calico kitty named picaboo(which my daughter is obsessed with at the moment).
Prior to my daughter I worked fulltime testing financial computer programs. And I also did watercolor portraits of mostly pets. In my spare time I trained my dog in obedience. We actually achieved a few AKC titles in obedience, rally and hunting. And was an on and off runner. And I loved to take pictures(mostly of animals and flowers).
After my daughter came along I didn't have a lot of time to do much training with my dog or running. So I picked up the digiscrapping hobby. And I started doing more painting and even branched out to doing children. And well my photographs these days are mostly of Meri. Frankly I think my dog is a bit relieved by this.
Sometimes it seems like I have too many interests to keep up with them all, but then again you can never have too many interests. But the digi-scrapping one kind of helps tie a few of them together. For example, now I have something to do with my bazillion photographs! And my painting helps with scrapping if I cannot find a particular element I want I can always paint it and scan it in. And the scrapping helps me practive design theories and that helps with my paintings. Oh and did I mention I create custom cards(announcements & invitations).
Anyhow, that surely is a lot about me! If you've made it this far then you deserve some sort of medal! Thanks for reading and I look forward to getting to know you all better.
