In 2005, I went to Chicago on a trip, which was a meet up of my online playgroup. At the time, I took Amelia to American Girl Place, which was SO overwhelming, even for me, and I didn't realize what I "needed" or wanted.

I got her a doll there, and one set of clothes, and now that she's older (she was only 2 at the time), she dearly loves this doll. I was surfing around their site for some Christmas gift ideas, and found the doll of the year this year is a figure skater! Squeeeeeee!

We'll probably get that for her, but in the process, I noticed the furniture. It's adorable! Does anyone here have any of the furniture, and is is sturdy? It's a LOT of money, plus I have to get it shipped, and pay duties on it, I'm sure. If you have some of the furniture, is it well made and will it last? I assume it will be since the dolls are amazing, as are the clothes, so I would expect high quality. TIA!

Shannon ((hugs)). I feel so lucky. The stuff is adorable, but holy expensive! Maybe I'll just get Tony to make her some, he probably could, if he had time! Do you think three months is enough time? :D

I always wanted an American Girl doll growing up! Samantha was my fave. But, my parents could never afford it. I hope some day that I have a little girl to get one for! :)

We got Libby one of the Bitty Babies last year for Christmas. She's just now really starting to love her. We also bought her the crib and she also got the high chair from Nate's mom and dad. They are both made SO well and very sturdy. Ummm sturdy enough that it didn't break when Libby climbed inside with her baby doll. LOL!! I love all of the American Girl stuff - it's just so darn expensive!!

My girls love the American Girl dolls, they want one of everything in the catalog lol! They each have one of the Bitty Babies dolls and a ton of outfits and then Kelsie has the Bitty Twins and Kaylie has one of the Just Like Me dolls. They still play with them all the time and they have held up really well. Even the Bitty Twins who got haircuts from Kelsie & my niece! Kaylie has asked for the Mia doll this year and all her skating outfits and Kelsie wants her own Just Like Me doll. We're not sure if we're going to do AG dolls for the 3rd Christmas in a row though cause it is all SO expensive.

I LOVE American Girl dolls!!! I wanted one so bad when I was young but we couldn't afford it either. :( So sad...but I now have a daughter so in a couple of years she's going to get one!!

I had some friends that had some furniture and it seemed really nice! :)

Thank you ladies! She wants Kit's Treehouse, but no way I'm spending that much. Tony says he thinks he can make one something like it, and he's pretty handy. The doll she has is Kit, and she loves her!
