i'm on the phone right now with someone, hoping they have openings. I have already caled 3 people who were full. there's a big list. I wanted an pediatrician, but they are all full so i'm going with a family practitioner i guess.

Yay! i got a doctor! Emma goes in on Friday! They need to check her out to make sure she no longer has a heart murmer she had it when she was born but i'm pretty sure it went away but they want to double check. Then she gets to go have her teeth fixed. they have to do it in the hospital and put her under since she's little. I'm scared, but she needs to get it done. Poor baby.

I know, finding a doctor is so hard. Now that we are military I'm going to miss my civilian doctor...they had a "call by 10 a.m. get a guaranteed same day appt" policy...and it was 3 moms who were the Peds too. They were the best :(

What does she have to have done to her teeth? Glad you got an appointment!

Glad you got an appt! It's hard here too, to find a doctor. Too many hypochondriacs, and not enough doctors LOL

ugh. she has bottle rot. I was unaware that milk could cause it; i've always avoided giving her juice or kool aide in the bottle. I have since ceased with the milk; she now gets water if she wants her bottle and she's been okay about it. she's pretty close to getting off of it completely. she drinks out of cups mostly during the day. Her dentist says he's going to try and fix them. i don't know how exactly, probably cap them if the remaining tooth is okay to leave in or else pull them i guess and put fake ones in? i'm not completely sure. but there has to be something there so that when her adult teeth come in they come in correctly.

i hope no one thinks i'm horrible mom. i feel extremely bad.:( :crying:

awww, nothing to feel bad about! I visited a friend from high school this summer and she had *wait for it* Mountain dew in her 2 1/2 year old's bottle! I had to do a double take because this friend of mine I always assumed would make a responsible parent! Now if you had been doing that and it caused problems I could see why you would feel bad...but it's not like you were being intentionally irresponsible! Some kids and people have teeth more prone to problems than others! ((hugs))

I remember how frustating it was for me to find the right doctor for my kids, but finally we found the perfect one after going through several... This doctor actually has her clinic set up in a big shopping mall which is cool because she is open until the mall closes and on weekends! :) anyways, I'm glad you found one your happy with!

Glad you got an appointment, Corey! It's a relief to be able to have things addressed that you've been concerned about!

It's not easy finding a good doctor. Your baby will be just fine, try not to worry. Good luck at the appointment!
