Please tell me there's someone here who knows about it.
How easy is it to work with? I want to make naomi a fondant striped birthday cake to match her dress but I'm afraid I'll mess it up. I've never used it.
Anyone have any advice for me?

Try PMing Mikkel Paige. Her cakes are awesome and I'm sure she could give you some tips.

from what I have seen it looks pretty easy, you just need some room to roll it out and stuff like that. If you get a chance watch the show Amazing Wedding Cakes. I think it is on the WE Channel, they sometimes show a lot of "how to". I would also go online to Wilton.com, they have a lot of good tips, there is also a few good books out there too also by Wilton. I think they are around $10.00 but are packed with info.
Mikkel is definitely the one to ask!

Ooh do a search...I feel like I remember a thread not too long ago where Mikkel made a post about fondants and shared where she got her recipes, her preferences, etc. Wait...I'll search it. AHA! Here it is: https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/community/showthread.php?t=14740&highlight=fondant
ANYway...I've made marshmallow fondant several times before and it's pretty easy and tasty. I used a recipe I found at cakecentral.com
HTH some!

I use to teach cake decorating. Fondant is intimidating to a lot of people but it is really kind of like playing with playdo. Be sure not to be wearing anything fuzzy dust sticks to it very easy! Here is a helpful site:
http://www.wilton.com/decorating/fondant/ . Also Wilton pre made fondant is kinda not very yummy. You can try adding candy flavoring oils to the fondant (some people like it), or better yet make Marshmallow fondant. If you like marshmallow then try this recipe. It is VERY easy to make: http://whatscookingamerica.net/PegW/Fondant.htm Hope this helps some. :)

It's pretty easy to use, but it tears easily. I would definitely ask Mikkel.

I know nothing about using it so I'm no help.
However, I had it on my baby shower cake. I loved the look of it but it tasted AWFUL. Give me a nice sugary buttercreme any day...

My mom and I tried for my son's 1st birthday cake, we failed during the practice runs. I think we just didn't know what we were doing. :D

I have done fondant once, using the MMF recipe the cdvcreations posted, and it was fairly simple. I would love to do it again, but haven't had occasion to make a cake in awhile now, lol.
