I wanted to make an Advent Calendar for my daughter (3) this year instead of the little yucky chocolate cardboard ones. So, this is what I came up with.
The toilet paper tubes are wrapped in patterned paper with numbers and embelishments adhered on the front. The tubes are stapled together. Inside each day's "tube" is a fun activity we will be doing together, a little treat and the days' Bible reading telling the story of Christmas! We're two days in now and my daughter LOVES it.

It is pretty straight forward, but if you have questions I'd be happy to answer them! (it's not too late to do something like this this year either -you could do the '12 days of Christmas' and count down 12 days instead!)
