We lost power on Thursday night at 10pm got it back this morning at 6:30! YAY! I hope to have cable too by the time I get home from work too so I can get online from home.

It was really cold on Friday am so we got dressed, I went out in public with No Shower which is amazing, and went to the mall. It was packed! There were 1.2 million people without power across New England and 400,000 of those were in New Hampshire. Totally crazy! I couldn't get into anywhere with an internet connection, couldn't get into a laundry mat, tried two days in a row and there were 10 people at least waiting for machines!

DH got us a little generator on Friday night so we were able to have heat and since we have a gas water heater we had hot water and I was able to shower Sat am. It was a long weekend but we made the best of it, we had two parties at our house, one Sat and one last night to get all the food we were losing in the freezer cooked up. We used our grill and our neighbor's camping stove and made due. It actually was fun believe it or not!

Huge ice storm Corey. It was the worst I've ever seen and from what my neighbor who works for the power company has ever seen too. They have crews from Quebec, Baltimore and Philadelphia here helping out.

Oh man, Pam! I'm glad you're safe and warm! It really sucks not having electricity! Did you lose much food or were you able to get it all grilled up? We still have a couple things in the freezer that we grilled up during Hurricane Ike. Glad you're OK, Pam!

Pam, did you get pictures? We'll have to share war stories, lol. Around 5 or so years ago this coming January we had a horrible ice storm. We stayed with a friend. The local university opened up their student union to the community, offering a place to stay, all three meals and showers as well. The meals we took advantage of. A friend of Lee Ann's brought a generator twice, so we got to shower and such.
Our power was out for six days. It was beautiful to look at, but i wouldn't relish the adventure again, lol.
