Hey chicklets & chickdude,

As we prepare to kick off our challenges again in January (more amazing and sweeter than ever I might add) we will be making some changes to the landscape of the forums over the next few days. We appreciate your patience as we bring you a whole new Sweet Shoppe Community in 2009 and if you have any ideas or special requests, please let me know!

Happy Holidays,
Robin

i think we should def seperate the scrapbooking stuff and the NSBR stuff. also, a sep section for help/tut's would be good.

oh and maybe a seperate section for the layout lovin's too.

well, there's my input. i'll let you know if i need the world on a silver platter.

:D

Good ideas Fizz. A SB and NSBR separation would def be awesome.

Awww, I personally like having NSBR and SB stuff together...lol. Then I don't have to go looking in a bunch of forums to be entertained. Plus, MANY of our topics go WAAAAY off course...lol!

Very exciting!

I would like to see members nominate layouts for gallery standouts :) (in addition to the Sugarbabe named ones on the blog).

This makes me sad :( 'Tis part of the reason I have made SSD my home over other sites...it's small, friendly, and one of the few sites left that has a forum where I can talk turkey and scrapping in one post

That being said, it will still be the same place...just a different feel...so of course I'm up for whatever...but still.... *sniff*

I agree with Lena, truly. I'd rather see the chatter forum just stay in one forum.

i can see this side of it too. i just think we can be soooo crazy that some folks come in and are overwhelmed and don't know where to chat first.

maybe we should take a vote. :)

Yeah, I'm cool with changes but it has been nice to have it all together to me. It doesn't move TOO fast so it's not a lot to weed through.

But, I'm excited to see what will come!

ITA. I like the SB & NSBR together, makes the community seem whole. I look at it as a gathering of scrapbook friends. If we all were to physically get together for a meeting (whoa - wouldn't that be interesting!) and someone started talking about their kids we wouldn't send them to a different part of the room.

Either way, though, this place will still be the best!

But, I'm excited to see what will come! I don't think it moves that fast either.....I'd hate to see it "too separated" and then have sections "die out". :(

I think it should be the same as how I organize with ACDSee.
All thrown together in the Shiznit. :)

Well I think things will be mostly the same, I just want to move the hybrid chatter up to this main forum and add a new forum where people can get specific help for digital scrap questions if they have them (we have a lot of new to digital members lately and it could be helpful). We also have a lot of projects like the December Daily and recipe swaps that are community driven so I thought it might be nice to give you guys a special place to post that type of stuff so that it doesnt get lost and so that people have any easy way to find and get involved in these special projects!

Keeping our forums small and straight forward is important to be because I think other forums can be overwhelming too.

It'll be great!

Woot Woot!! Holla to me!

I am excited for the changes and have this sappy statement:

What made me stay here at SSD wasn't how things were organized, or how many forums there are (I use the New Posts buttons waaaayy too much). What made me stay were the awesome people here, and the general sense of community.

I personally would NOT like to see a gallery standout thread. we all know who the rockin' scrappers are and I think it discourages newer scrappers and the not so good at scrapping people (like me  LOL)

Just my 2 cents worth LOL....

I don't mind how you all do it as long as it's till simple. I don't like clicking 12 times to get where you want to go..... I don't mind the way it is now, it's simple and easy to find stuff but I don't usually come for a specific reason, I just come to see what's going on.
