did anyone even notice i was gone? lol  i haven't had time to hang out lately b/c i was behaving and not getting side tracked in the forums - NOT! well, somewhat true...i've been swamped at work, my parents are in town, and the kids are having holiday parties here and there. last weekend we went away to monterey - the whole fam, doggies and my parents. it was great going away (much needed!) but near the end the good ol' nagging from my mom got to me. i couldn't wait to get home.

aside from that i'm just trying not to fall behind with life in general. with the economy and all, people i know are getting laid off, my neighbor's about to lose his house, and our satellite radio got stolen from our car for the second time. tough times, i'm just trying to keep my head straight and hope for the best.

how's everyone doing? what's the latest? i clicked on new posts and got pages and pages in return. i'm too lazy to read.

Thanks Tracie!

Corey - for as beautiful as Monterey is, I don't think I could live there and deal with tourists all the time. We stayed in a cabin on Asilomar and the houses there were gorgeous! They are expensive though...but the surrounding areas are not too bad. I don't know if you like cold, windy weather though, that's how it is there 90% of the time. Brrrr!

we were looking at some surrounding areas, and i couldn't find to many houses under 200 thousand, and if i did they were really small and not that nice. real estate around here is MUCH cheaper!

Um, under $200k? Nope, not here in Cali, not even a studio Corey.

lol! i think we'll probably just visit them and stay here. DH's step brother just had a really nice manufactured home built on a lot and i think it was around 120 grand. its SO nice. we're thinking of eventually tearing down our crappy little house we have now and having one of those built here on this property, cause we like where we're at. in a few years of course. gotta pay off my car first :(
