I don't know what to do with such a good baby. DS was a good baby but not the first month..he was a preemie so he was very fussy and never slept more than 2 hrs at a time for the first few weeks. Ella slept last night from 11:30 until 4:30...that's FIVE hours! And when she's awake she doesn't cry...with Avery if he was awake he was constantly fussing and crying that first month. When Ella is awake she is perfectly content to either sit in my arms or in her cradle just looking around. I don't know what to do with myself when she's just content like that lol. I probably just jinxed myself but so far she is a wonderful baby.

You know, Benjamin was not a good sleeper, but Amelia was amazing!!! I didn't know what to do with myself. She used to sleep 8 through 8 at 4 weeks old, with a 4 hour nap in the middle. It's so nice, isn't it?
So since she was such a good baby, when she was 9 months old, we decided to start trying for another, and now we have Rae :p

I'm so glad that she is such a good baby for you. My Avery was like that at first. Then at about 5 months he started not sleeping through the night again and we haven't gone back. You are probably getting more sleep with a newborn than I am with an almost 10 month old. Enjoy it!

that's awesome!! Chloe, my oldest, was a fussy baby. i think it was colick(sp) and she had her days and nights mixed up. i had no help with her; DH had deployed to Iraq when she ws 3 weeks old. Emma and Aidan were both pretty good about sleeping. Thank God. Chloe was so difficult. She still is, lol!

I'm so glad she's sleeping well and letting you sleep! That's the nice thing about bigger babies who don't need to eat as frequently. I hope she keeps sleeping so well for you--some babies are good sleepers until about 3 months when they come out of that 'round the clock newborn sleepiness, and then they regress.
My kids were world's worst sleepers when they were little. DS1 finally came around by about 2 years old, and my 2.5 year old has improved a lot but still has a ways to go. Fingers crossed that third time's the charm for me!

that's wonderful!
all 3 of my babies were wonderful - slept all night at 2 weeks, content to just be anywhere I was in the house.

I can totally relate, Nikki. Cameron's first night home is still to this day the worst night of my life. He always fussed and he was a nightmare to get to sleep and stay asleep.
Then came Little C. Connor was a totally different baby. I had to WAKE HIM UP the first night home to eat and he would sleep and sleep and never fuss. When he was awake, he was just so content to watch the world around him.
*sigh* makes me nostalgic for his baby days.... but just a little. :p
I'm so glad she's so good for you Nikki. You deserve it. :)
