Cool thing I found out today...

So I think that many of you know that I am from the area where Ted Geisel, Dr. Seuss, lived. Many of the things in his books are from around here, like there really is a Mulberry St. Well today I found out this:

The mountain that the Grinch lived on, is actually a mountain that is about five minutes from my house here. And the town on the other side of the mountain, which I frequent and is totally the next town over, is the inspiration for Whoville! I think this is seriously cool....maybe you don't but I wanted to tell you.

I just finished reading the Grinch to my little girl about 20 mins ago (yes, she was up past her bedtime), I think it is cool that you are able to pick out all those places!

I've been reading Dr. Seuss' ABC book to my 2 1/2 year old the past several nights...Chloe just loves it...and we got to watch Horton Hears a Who, the other day...I lovey Dr. Seuss...SUCH an amazing imagination...I miss him :(

that is pretty cool. I loved the Grinch movie (both Jim Carrey and the cartoon one). The Grinch is absolutely my all time favorite Dr. Suesss character :-) I also loved the Cat in the Hat movie too. I think Dakota Fanning is adorable especially in that movie.

As a side note somehow my son and I got into a discussion about what is 'real' and what is 'pretend'. According to him: Santa is just a made up guy to teach us about giving, elves only show up on TV, but the Grinch is real (and don't try to tell him otherwise - you'd be wrong).

that is so cool! i love Dr Suess too. Green Eggs and Ham is my fave. it was on tv the other day and the kids thought it was neat that i was saying along with the show, lol.
